The driver of a pickup truck and a driver of a Mustang were speeding down Kuykendahl near Saddlecreek Sunday morning. The driver of the Mustang lost control, hit a concrete barrier and finally came to a stop in a ditch.

The impact pinned the driver in the car. Firefighters rescued him and his passenger. Paramedics took them to two area hospitals.

The driver of the car is in serious condition at Ben Taub Hospital. There's no word yet on the condition of the passenger. The driver of the pickup truck was not hurt.

Thats why all racing should be left at the track. the streets are not safe for racing and if something happens at the track there is emergancy help there waiting to respond quickly.

You are dumb to race anything with TIRES in the rain. The kids got what they deserved.

It wasn't a fatal mistake. Nobody died. :)
But yeah, stupidity should hurt more.

At least they didn't kill or hurt any innocent passers-by...

Thats the worst part about street racing, if you do something stupid not only could you kill yourself, but you could kill someone else's wife or child or mother on the way to the grocery store or coming home from work. Think before you do something moronic, speeding up fast at a stoplight is one thing, but going 100mph on the road is another

There is no reason to be racing in the rain. I Do not like the rain had a wreck in the rain scared the sh*t out of me.

racing a mustang in the rain is about as dumb as dumb can get, why would u race a rear wheel drive car will over 300ft/lb of torque in the wet, its all u can do to keep traction on a dry road, iim glad nobody died but geez people do some stupid stuff.
