I would like some feed back on the Shaker 500/1000. I would like to buy one and install it on my 91 GT but I would like some feed back first. One of the bad things I have heard is that it skips. Is this true? If anyone has one, I might be interested.

the skipper 500 doesnt like new cds, it does play mp3 well but every new regular cd skips so that is how mine works

I haven't had a single CD skip on my 500, although I have at least one CD that won't play at all in it. I don't have any experience with MP3 or other aftermarket recordings.

I'm happy with my 500, I play cd's all the time and no skips. sometimes I wish I had gotten the 1000 for the extra bass, but you can always go aftermarket...
Ive had no problems at all with the shaker 500, acually im really impressed with it as a stock set up. But thats exactly what it is, a "stock" set up. For the money (or even half at that) you could most likely get something twice as good. But if stockish is what you want to go, its not a bad set up at all.
Yea I chose the bass and should have got better wheels when I ordered my 07.....bass<wheels
