The 65/66 fastback has a purity of design that makes it timeless.

It is not just a car it is art.

Hear, Hear.....Amen Brother!

67-68's making a late charge... despite soaring cheerleading....

The '65 is simply a work of art just sitting there.
The '68 is a brutish looking machine the way the rear window slopes to the top of the trunk. I guess "Bullitt" put it's hooks in me a long time ago!

(However I did recently get close enough to a '69 BOSS 429 and it made my hair stand on end with excitement! - Wouldn't want to work on the engine though...)

I would give my best friends balls to work on a Boss 9.   Let me change the oil ! Let me take a whack at the spark plugs!!   I would love to have the opportunity to crawl all over that setup.

And for the record, if everybody who doesn't think that the 67 is the sweetest, coolest, baddest, and phattest would just admit that they are wrong then we could put this post to rest....

Let me just say that I don't envy the man that has to pull da 429 out of the '69 engine bay - heck I think you couldn't get a lever big enough to pull that monstrosity out.  Sure I'd love to drive the car with that monster motor but I've been spoiled by working on the small block...

Those wouldn't be "Schweaty Balls" would they?

The Boss is not really as bad to work on as you might think.
And,changing the spark plugs on a Ford Hemi is easier than changing them on my son's 68 with a small block.

The 65 fastback is the only one that could be put in MOMA it's a design classic. It a hard punching middleweight compared with the big brutish heavyweights with glass jaws like the 67 onwards.

That's akin to saying that "nobody is more beautiful than my wife".  Not even the wife will believe it but you have to say it anyway.

Sorry guys I know the early fastbacks are purdy and everything but you just cant beat the stance of the 69 and 70s, with their beastly looking frontends. Ya just got to love them. And oh the 429 is wicked.

My friend is in fact a dyed in the wool Tin Indian freak and no,  I do not believe he does know that I am willing to give away his balls for the privilege of working on a Boss 429.
