I have some good memories of cruising around Lake Harriet listening to Gwantanamera and of him telling me not to look up when the top is going back up... remember looking up and getting something in my eye:)... good times they were though... My mother had an old 1971 comet GT (it was a wanna be muscle car). I remember that she kept that car until you could pretty much drive it like in the flintstones. She would drop me off at school and I was so ashamed of that piece of junk that I asked her to drop me off a couple of blocks away... kids can be so stupid... but she never did... Later my dad got a 77 thunderbird with the 400ci option. That car was pretty tough. I remember him flooring it on the freeway to pass people... passing was a breeze...
