I got into Rockingham today for the race this weekend. Last time i was here I visited Dale Jarret ford just uotside Charlotte, to check out some stangs, and I couldn't believe how big their indoor showroom was. -So i figured this time i would go back to see an 05 and maybe a gt, so I went over there today. They had gotten 3 05's already, and sold 2, leaving a lime metallic colored 05 still there. By the way, that is an interesting color; I kinda like it. So I was able to check out the car up close and sit in it. I like it inside, it is slightly roomier. The very recessed gauges are ok, a little too retro for me. If I bought a 05 gt, I would probably replace the gauges for a less retro style. The 05 gt seats are a little better that the 04's for lateral suppert, but have a ways to go to compare to 03-4 cobra seats as far as support. To me, they are more comfortable that cobra seats, mostly because you need a slim tush to fit in 03-4 cobra seats. As far as how the outside appearance looked compared to magazine pics, it looked about the same to me, maybe slightly better. Damn, the one I saw today would have looked A LOT better lowered a little bit. The shifter and throw feel slightly shorter than before, but have a long ways to go as far as being 'short enough'. The throws were probably slightly less notchy, as well. -But still pretty close to the 04's feel. The center console sits quite a bit higher than ever before in mustangs, as a matter of fact, it feels a little like the console in a vette or viper, as far as heigth. I'm not sure I liked it, but I'm sure I'd get used to it. The E brake is a little funky, too, because it's now on the drivers side of the console, and protrudes a bit. I wish it was still on the passenger's side. The steering wheel is pretty sweet, feels about right. I'll end this post. Any questions?

I just saw one at the dealership down here in N.O. I liked the exterior the lights in the grill still look weird to me. The interior was alright. It looks pretty good in black. The only problem with the one I saw was it was in black...and oh yea 5 people were already trying to buy it so the salesman was telling me it was gonna be to the highest bidder. That just doesn't sound right. Oh well, just my 2 cents.

By the way, the 2 they already sold went at sticker, and the one that I saw today was selling for sticker, 25K and change. The dealership said that was what they were selling them for, period. -I did think that was pretty damn fair, as I thought they were probably tacking on a couple grand, like they did with the early 03 cobras. They did have at least 6 04 Roushs they were trying to dump. Anyone want a good deal on a Roush?

Hmmmmm. They put the emergency brake on the drivers side. No thanks. Also are you gonna buy a new stang or were you just looking?

I checked out a V6 yesterday; they wanted 20g. One may not like the outside look of the car, but the inside is a big improvement. Seats much better, and overall the quality has increased. I thought the car looked much nicer in person.

Yeah, i dont like the e-brake location either. The shifter/concole area felt like a vette, i thought that also. The seats are very comfortable, i also like the head rest, i can actually rest my head on it. lol. and i loved the gauges. I thought the interior is a Huge imporvement. I hated that the tires are SMALLER on a GT. 235/55zr17!!!!! No more trunk pop from the glove box either. No seat belt holders on seats, now you have to reach all the way back to get youre seat belt. Performance has a LONG way to go.
