It looks like I'm going to do the X-Charger thing and I'm going to go backwards first... because I think I really ought to have the exhaust in place first instead of running a supercharger with a single exhaust.
So... the way I get it, the H-pipe sounds better and the X-pipe gives a hair more power -- but this was with a normally-aspirated engine, so is it that big of a deal with a supercharger? If I'm actually going to realize the power of a supercharger, I wouldn't mind giving up whatever margin of improvement an X-pipe gives me over an H-pipe. However... is it advisable to have the X-pipe when running a supercharger?
I've seen exhaust discussions all over the place, but not specifically confined to supercharger applications, hence my asking here.
The X will flow better, and give a tad more on the top end. Not sure if it is noticeable on the dyno, but Ford did switch the H pipe out on the GT500 with an X if that says anything.
Also, if you do decide to go H pipe, I know Powerhouse has some GT H pipe take offs they could probably sell you.
I would do headers too on a FI car.
