I just purchased a 1990 ford mustang LX 5.0 convertible with 24,679 actual certified miles on the clock. This car is in perfect condition and totally unmolested. It is red with a white top (new top) and red interior. It is loaded with all the options except for leather seats. It still has the baffle under the fender and the original ten hole aluminum rims. It looks like it just came off of the show room floor. What would this totally stock convertible be worth in todays market?

V-6 is for real drivers. Go buy a Jetta if you want gas mileage and a chicks car. Buy a V-8 Mustang if you have no driving ability and need the extra horsepower to compensate and feel like you''''re fast.

I would think 8K is a fiar price.  going to ten would be a little high IMHO.  But then it also depends on where you live.  I can find foxes for sale any day of the week in my area (Have been told texas has some as well, but don;t know for a fact).  But up north it would be worth alot more.  so the region has alot to do with it.

I guess you're not gonna say how much you bought it for eh?

Sounds like a nice find. But it's not a collectors or anniversary special or anything like that eh? Just a "nice but plain" car that's been well taken care of & hardly ever driven. Tough to peg a price. Maybe if you could confirm someone FAMOUS used to own it then it'd be $ cha-ching time!

Nice find. I would say about $7,000 to $10,000 if you find the right buyer. Some of the more rare fox bodies that I've seen in the past year have brought that. I know cause I've paid that for one of mine.

Thanks for the responses, I paid 9k for this mustang. It's just a standard LX convertible 5.0. I was a little concerned that I paid too much for this car however it sounds like I did ok according to you all. I will tell you that this car is a real cream puff in very new condition. The only thing wrong with it is it is low on freon which is ok because I'm going to convert it to R134. A/C is a must in south Texas....
