Default need some help again

got a question for those here that might know
how do I adjust the points gap in the distributor in a 1986 2.3 mustang lx (non turbo) and anyone know the settings?
I got a chiltons manual and that one doesn't talk about the settings as far as I can see
so I need a little help here.because my hc is a little high on the smog side of things, I passed but maybe I can tickle a little fuel efficency and better running out of it
help
