do you have an F-150 youre gonna get it from?

i could imagine it would be similar to a 4.6 swap, except you would maybe need custom mounting brackets.

are you getting this thing cheap? you could always buy a ssm crate engine. depending on what kind of #'s you want to put out in the future you could just get another 3.8 that has a lot more power for 5600. or you could get a long rod 4.3 and be puttin out some big #'s with a bolt in engine for $6250.

personally i dont think the amount of miles on a car really matters. if its well maintained, and if youre replacing the internals anyway, the block you have now should fare fine.

4.2 would just drop right in as long as it's a neutral balance 4.2 you need nothing else but to re-use your mustang upper-intake and exhaust headers

it will give a nice little performance bost too because of the extra torque and about 10 extra hp

4.2 only increases HP by about 10 hp? Heh, I was considering getting it done but if that's all it ends up being it's not worth it to me. What do you have to buy for it, anyway? Just gotta find some F150 guts, right?

Hrm, I can't afford a 7000$ engine, though.
