you don't have to get all sore about it just because we have Camaros. if you haven't noticed, half the Mustang guys on here repeat eachother. And alot of them are unsure about some things. don't have to get all butt hurt that we left a post.

What he said! I'm an asshole. Just because I made more power with $2k invested in my car than 99% of this forum will ever make makes me even more of an asshole. Especially since I actually posted that fact. Assholeness at its finest.

Nah, you're just quick to take up opposite sides to piss people off, but, since you take pride in it, i dont think there's much anyone can tell you to convince you otherwise

ORIGINAL: oneqwkss ok for one....there is no such thing as a 2004 camaro. im a camaro guy so i thought i would clear some things up after reading all of these posts. 1993 z28s and trans ams had the 275hp LT1----1994-1997 z28s and T/As had the 285hp LT1-----now im not positive about the T/A but i know for sure that 1996 and 1997 were the only LT1 SS camaros and they were rated at 305hp------now 1998 to 2002 z28s and T/As had the LS1 which is rated at 305hp----and the SS ....well for 1998 to 2001 they were rated at 320hp and 2002 they were rated at 345hp-----------now i have a 99SS m6 and stock with just a SLP cat back it made 325rwhp and 338rwtq. so you figure it out.....the LT1 and the LS1 were always underrated from the factory. i know two guys that have LS1s one is in a 2000SS and the other is in a base 99corvette rated at 350hp....the SS put more power down to the wheels than the vette. call it a freak or whatever but they are under rated alot. and i have ran a 94 cobra, 99 cobra, 40th anniversary GT and a 2005 GT and they have all got spanked. i have yet to find a stock 03 cobra with the 390hp charged motor to see how i compare with just my cat back. I CAN WRITE IN BIG FONTS TOO! Is this thread posted on some camaro forum or what? @oneqwkss: Do you know why there aren't any 04 Camaros?

And to answer the Question about Camaro vs Mustang: Yes, Camaro will beat........I mean SPANK the Mustang!!! Also just to show you. If we(Camaro) can beat a Ford GT-40, what makes you think it cant beat a Mustang!! Take a look!!! http://media.putfile.com/Turbo-SS-vs-Ford-GT Thanx for stoppin in trolls. I've seen a few vids of FI mustangs doggin down on stock Ford GT's...........so what exactly do u feel you're proving??? That a significantly modified car can beat an overpriced stock car with a poor driver? OMG........I'm saved

I love how all these GM guys come in here to tell all you Mustang guys stuff you already know....if they knew any better they'd know that this is, now one of, the most informed Mustang groups on the net. Thanks to all of us GM assholes. Silly GM asshats.

ORIGINAL: bluefields88 and all 98-02 Z28 and SS's had LS1s, all to the same tune I beleive? rear gear ratios were a bit different, not sure on the specs, but the SS has a more go-fast gearing. The 01-02 cars have the better-flowing LS6 intake manifold (98-00 have the LS1) for better breathing but a smaller cam than the 98-00 cars, which was done for better low-midrange torque. Overall, the 01-02 cars a re a taaaad quicker due to the manifold. If the cam wasn't changed, they would be quicker still. So the engines were a little different in certain years. As for the gearing, ALL 6-speed cars came with 3.42 gears, regardless of year or option package. The automatic Z28s come with 2.73 gears standard (like mine) or 3.23 gears as an option (like my girlfriend's '01 Z28). All automatic Super Sports came with 3.23 gears. Which, again, are available on the Z28. quote:

I'll field this one: because of girls and metrosexual dudes who either can't read dyno sheets and timeslips or simply don't care, and who think the V6 Mustang is "cute" and "sporty". Oh plz Tommy, I can't believe you're still lending an ear to that argument. Lord knows everyone argues to their point's strength, so you know if the mustang had been discontinued in 02 and not the camaro we'd all be arguing the exact opposite side right now. Let it go man. BTW........metrosexual dudes? lol I thought those guys went for Lexus' and Mercedes? Never seen a metrosexual drivin a domestic before........musst just be my area.
