Default 2004 Camaro SS vs. 06 GT

I've got a buddy that just got a stock Camaro SS, and Ive got a stock 06 GT.

Who would win in a drag race?

Don't know what to tell ya since this is first 2004 camaro I've heard[8D] of but a 2002 SS will be a tough race unless your well heeled under optimal conditions. I've known of stock S197 GTs to run low 13s but I can't say I'm one of them.

HAHAHA Ok, I know nothing about camaros.I could've sworn I heard 2004, but it was something in the 2000's.

But anyways, I know for a fact it was a 2000 something camaro SS.

If it is a 2002 Camaro SS, then ok.........

STOCK 2002 Camaro 325 HP > STOCK 2006 Mustang GT 300 HP
STOCK 0-60 5.2 sec < STOCK 0-60 5.0 sec
STOCK 1/4 mile ET 13.49 > STOCK 1/4 mile ET 13.7
curb weight 3411 lb. > curb weight (5 spd) 3673 lb.

BUT............................................... .....WE ALL KNOW ITS ALL ABOUT THE DRIVER, SO IF YOU CAN DRIVE AND HE ISN'T THE GREATEST, THEN YOU'LL TAKE HIM!

I've got a friend who had a 2002 Pontiac Firebird (330hp / 350 ft lbs torque) run a 13.4 stock.
Crappy stock 17's for street tires as well.

Stock auto LS1s run mid 13s, and a well driven 6 speed can run a low 13. I've heard of a stock 6 speed on DRs that ran a high 12. So w/ equal drivers, theSS will win. And please for the love of god, do not race from a roll- it will rape you.

Stock for stock if its a 6 speed it will win every time with all drivers being equal, With my mods its still neck and neck from a roll. at the track I can beat em but just barely.
