Black convertible top looks dusty and pale. How do I make this thing shine like the rest of the car? Are there any chemicals out there safe for it to give the convertible top a luster?

And do not use anything that contains alcohol, this will pull the natural moisture from the fabric and dry it out, causing the same thing you are trying to remedy.

anyone ever put tire wet or vinyl shine on theirs. I've done it once for a car show and it didn't seem to hurt anything, but it make it look fantastic

I have used "Tire Wet" when I couldn't find this so called "Raggtop" stuff in three auto parts stores. I didn't check to see what was in it, I just used it. It gave my top a nice glossy shine that is still lasting after a week of cold, clammy weather. Where is "Ragtopp" sold for this great shine that I like so much?

I was wondering the same thing. Which ones to get for making that blacktop shine and also protect it from the elements.

Is tire shine ok? The person at the auto parts store said to never use it on a convertible top, but im sure it would give a nice shine. I use aerospace 303 on it and it is also a little pricey but gives it that "new" look.

My dealer tells me not to put too much crap on my roof, and to be very careful on what products you consider. Some products will accumulate on your top and attract contaminients from the environment, and ruin it.
