Default wHAT IS A GOOD SET OF LOWER CONTROL ARMS?

I am going to be wanting to install a set in a couple of months to prevent wheel hop that could occur in the future with a Saleen SC.

What is a good brand and part number at a reasonable price.
Also how hard is the installation?

I have BMR's I Paid $119. I also have Steeda and paid $350. They both work the same. I changed to Steeda b/c I thought the BMR's transmitted a little too much noise. I found the Steedas, with their hollow, open design are slightly quieter and you can run your Ebrake cable through them like on the stock ones insted of using wire ties. I would stick with the BMR's though if I had to do it all over again. The price difference is just too much.

Read CrazyAl's responses in this thread. He has a ton of info on suspension setups for the S197. Alot of guys here have very good information, F1Fan to name another.

Best of both worlds would be the BMR adjustable with Poly bushing on one end and QA1 rod end on the other.

For best performance go with what I went with which is the QA1 rod end adjustable. Has the rod ends on both sides. It will have s=more NVH but it is the best for handling

+1 on the poly/rod end combo. poly on the rear-end side of the control arm will bind up when turning - don't want that. beware having rod end on the body side. F'N NOISY! my panhard bar has rod ends and it annoys the hell out of me.

It all depends on where your going with your car. I've got some CHE Tubular/Poly LCA's and Adj./Poly UCA coming in on Friday. I can't wait..

it doesn't matter where you are going with your car - poly/poly arms will bind. the factory rubber bushings have enough "give" in them that it's not a problem. if your doing subframe connectors as well i wouldn't worry, but I personally wouldn't purposely add undue stress to the torque boxes and chasis.

If your going to do any hard launches on a regular basis(3k +rpm or useing slicks)you are going to need some billet lca's. I would reccomend either the BMR Billet LCA's ($229) or the Steeda Biller LCA's ($284).

You should also consider getting the Steeda Adj UCA and mount 555-4109 as suggested by F1Fan. Do a search on his recent posts on UCA.

It was an absolute PITA to install but I no longer have any axle hop or windup on acceleration even with the Roush SC.
