Default 1st time at the Track -- help w/my time slip

What's the deal guys,

Well on Friday night I was invited to a 1/8 mile track here in Houston.. My best was the following:

1/8 et - 8.896;[sm=youreright.gif][sm=smiley13.gif]
1/8 mph- 80;
60' - 2.125.

What's this converted into a 1/4 mile? I have a bassanit off roadx with magnaflows and
nitto drags..Ohh yeah, k&n w/silencer removed.. Could I have done better? Help me out..

8.896 * 1.56 = 13.878

Thats a good time for a stock stang wtih just mid-pipe back exhaust ... your 60' is pretty bad though for Nitto's - something doesnt sound right between your 1/8'th and 60' ... are you sure you got it down right? Post up your whole timeslip and lemme see it. You should be able to cut 1.9's with the Nitto's pretty easily, whats your tire pressure? I say your times don't add up right because with a 1.9 60' your time would drop from a 13.8 to a 13.4, and thats alot faster than what you should run with just your exhaust mods. By the way, this needs to be moved to the street / strip forum.

Sorry about the thread here MD.. How do I move it?

I'll try to scan the slip.. I'm at work right now and I was just remembering the numbers.
I might be off.. I think I have the time slip in the car.. I'll run and get it to post all those numbers..
My nittos went from 27psi to 20 psi.. I know I could have done better.. My worst time was 9.02 i think..

LOL.. I forgot to mention.. I don't have a backseat, (just metal), i took off the passenger seat (for now) a spare tire or jack with all that good stuff.. I raced my buddies 00 gt with steeda pullyes and that steeda kit where you get gears(3.55), chip and intake.. He weighs a lot and had all this extra his crap in his car.. I beat him by just tenths of seconds.. It was a horrible track, though..
edit*****
Is this time still not feasible?

Im not saying I don't believe that you ran what you did, only that I believe either your 60' time or your 1/8 time may be off. If your a good driver it wouldnt suprise me that you could pull off a 13.8, but not with that 2.1x 60' time. By the way, I get my best 60's with my Nitto's at 15psi

Thanks man.. I didn't know you could drop the pressure that much.. I was trying not to spin too much on first..
I'll run to my car during lunch and (crossfingers) hopefully have my time slip there. Maybe you're right; maybe I'm thinking of a time from one of my other runs. So many confusing numbers on that little piece of paper..I'll double check.

There was this ricer (honda civic, no paint, nothing but metal and on racing seat) doing 8.01's all night long.. All motor-no spray. Well, that's what the anouncer said. Impressive for a honda I have to say..

Yea that is impressive for a Honda, especially all-motor (kinda hard to believe too). I've got 245/45/17's - so if you have a different tire size then the best pressure may very some - and even if you have 245's you may get a better run at 14 or 16 psi... every car is different. And yea I've experienced no cupping or rim spinning at 15psi - just don't go corner carving or anything more than limited street driving with pressure that low.

I HAVE MY TIME SLIP.. I run 275/40 or 45/17's... 15psi still recommended? It was import night that night I was there.. The announcer drives an 03 Cobra and he was saying (on loud speaker) that it was all motor. no juice or turbo.. It was loud as hell, though... My friend in his 03 cobra doing 470 to the wheel drove 8.00 with drags.. I think he was pathetic... He said 8.00's are twelves.. Is that right?

Her's what my timeslip says:

Dial in----- 0.00
reaction------- .7981
60' ------------- 2.1404
330' ----------5.8661
1/8 et ------ ---8.8963
1/8 mph -------80.12
finsh margin----0.0348
winner..
Version 8.1.3
Timing systems

If it was a hella of a good driver, what could be accomplished?

yeah, 8.0's in the 1/8 should be in the 12's in the 1/4 mile. I run 8.54 at the 1/8 when I run 13.569 in the 1/4 mile if that gives you any help figuring things out. I did that with a 1.761 60' time, so I'm leaving lots harder than you but you've got me by almost 2 mph at the 1/8 mile, so you should be able to outrun me in the back half of the track. I ran one guy who did 12.590 in the 1/4 with a 8.031 1/8 mile time. also ran a 11.297 car who ran 7.152 in the 1/8. another guy ran a 12.011 with a 7.606 1/8 mile time. The quickest guy I raced and beat by the way ran a 9.837 with a 6.251 1/8 mile but he broke out by .003 seconds at 135.65 mph. I hate it when they blow my doors off like that since I was doing only 96.90 mph, but when the win light comes on on my side, it makes it all better!!!!!

If I brought my 60' down to what about you're doing, what can I expect? I know, I know, there's only one way to find out and thats at the track, but I'm just wondering.. I thought I was doing ok - guess not.. Those are nice numbers man..I'd love to get my car in low 13's with out the bottle or other type of forced induction. I thought my 8's were still 14's..

I ran quite a few 8.0's in the eight that got me 1.4's in the 1/4, but that was with a 1.9 60'

When I run high 1.7's - mid 1.8's Im at 12.0 - 12.1 ... I ran a 7.7 @ 90 with the 1.7 short time
