AmyVCTexas> I hope you are right on the settlement. But the longer it takes for this whole thing the MORE I will ask for on top of my $85k back. So $85k+ my inconvience can really add up. I really cant believe how any business's could still stay open doing their customers like this.(I am sure I am not the 1st nor will I be the last). I just wanted to open other possible buyers eyes, so they can really see how these 3-companies Saleen, Ford Motor Corp & Galpin Ford in San Fernando Valley Calif., treat & supposedly care about their customers. THEY DONT, HELLOOOOO.

I hate to be the bearer of potentially bad news, but I don't think you're going to see much $$ for your inconvenience. The job of the courts is to make you whole -- to put you back where you were before the "bad" happened. "Inconvenience" is not a compensable expense. Sorry!

AmyVCTexas> That's all I wanted was my original amount I paid at 1st. I even suggested to Carlos Duran & others at Saleen, just give me a REGULAR S281 3v Saleen or my $85k back & they said NO. I even gave Galpin Ford the chance by suggesting that I pay additional $10k & get a 2007 Jaguar XKE Convertible they too said NO. So my hand was FORCED to do the LEMON LAW. In the Calif. LEMON LAW you do get $$ for your inconviences especially if it goes to Trial.  Again, I am not here for all that, I really like the look of the 2005-2006 Saleen Mustang. The more these 3-companies drag this on, then the more I will seek for my inconviences.

Saleen is already at the bottom of the BBB barrel with a "D" rating.  However, Saleen isn't even a member of BBB anyway.

PolkThug> hahaha, you are probably right about Saleen.Galpin Ford gives/donates so much $$ to the BBB they pratically own that too(so that would have been a NO WIN situation for me).
With all the chances I gave these 3-companies this was my last option(Lemon Law) or Trade it in & take a Major lost & have some other consumer(when the Ford dealership would have re-sold it to somebody else) get stuck with the headaches I have had with this car.

you deserve to get your full money back and the tax. I dont think they will give you back the interest or the interest that you could have made should have saved that money.

abbas> We/I will see come Trial Date Feb 19,2008.

Depositions are underway Saleen is done(what a joke),next is Ford Motor Corp. & then Galpin Ford. Believe me, I wish I could really speak out about Saleen's stand point, but I can't.

If you are seriously thinking about buying a Saleen, please read ALL of these Saleen posts & understand these are not dreams, but Nightmares.

My 12-month warranty is over on August 25th 2007 & the car has 1634 miles on it(not by choice).

SALEEN100> In NO WAY, does Saleen have it made. That's all I can say at this time. But I am getting other direct e-mails from other Saleen Extreme owners that are now in contact with my attorney.

priceless.

db28 - I hope when you get what you're after, you'll take a break from your singular agenda long enough to actually post and participate in this forum.  I'm sure your not just here after one thing...

Lest I remind you this is a Saleen enthusiast forum, where people talk about there cars and share ideas.  It's up-beat.  It's positive - even entertaining at times.  And I think it's a shame that you've used it in a more self-serving manner - to drum up 'other Saleen Extreme owners now in contact with my atttorney' - your words.

get your lawyers.  get made 'whole'.  make a mint.  Whatever.  Only thing that bothers me is the way you've used this board to air out your personal issues with these companies.  I seriously doubt that anyone on here (other than you) stands to gain from your legal action.  And furthermore, airing it out on a public forum might even do more harm to your case than good.  I'm not sure.  Please - O Please let thread die until you get your payoff, then come back and tell us how well you did.

I'm sure I'll get flamed again for speaking my mind.  It's just my opinion, and since you keep this thread going I'll keep sharing it.

Thanks,

Chuck

Chuckdoc & Jazzer The Cat> Thank you for your thoughts. But I am on here to PREVENT others who are even THINKING about buying a Saleen to REALLY THINK about it before they get caught up in a Problematic Car. I will be on this site til Feb 2008 my COURT date unless my $$ is refunded before then.

Do YOU personally own a 2006 Saleen Extreme is the YES or NO question I have for you ? No a P.J. is not an Extreme nowhere near it(lucky for you).

Again to the both of you & others as I stated before You know what my Thread is about, so do yourselves a FAVOR & SKIP over it. Others that have made comments about their cars YOU have said Nothing. SO act like my thread is 1 of those others & Say Nothing to mine. Again I have NOT gone up on your Thread & commented on anything you have said, now have I ? So give the same respect & move on. Thank You. But if you really dont want to see my continuation of this, then pay my Monthly payments on my Saleen. Just as I thought. Have a Good Day & again Skip over my thread.

How does it feel to work at Saleen a company that has nothing but troubles with their cars ? You must work for them or have a partnership with them. Maybe you think Saleen will give you some Extra stuff for being a Positive person about this car.

When people e-mail me directly & ask what else they can do besides get the RUN-AROUND from Saleen & Ford Dealerships. I refer them to my attorney, so they can open their own Lemon Law Case. Believe me, I dont No help on my Lemon Law case with my #128 Extreme. Again, Stick to your P.J. thread & Skip over this 1 since it bothers you so much.

db28: I have posted supportive comments on this thread but you are wearing my ass out! Like me, Chuck and Jazzer are patient people (most of the time) but you are wearing it very thin. From your comment above it is clear that your intent is to HOLD US HOSTAGE until YOU get what YOU want. Don't kid yourself (because you're not kidding anyone else): you aren't trying to help anyone, you are simply grinding your own axe and keeping us at the sharp edge.

Be careful what you wish for, my friend. You're sending some bad juju out there right now. And you've already shown that you are not a man of your word. Has it occurred to you that people considiering purchasing a Saleen are, by now, thinking there are a lot of folks on this board who love their cars (including plenty of E owners), and who seem like reasonable people, while you look more and more like a sh@theel with psychological issues? Keep posting buddy: you're only helping Saleen.

I hope you receive all that you believe you deserve and then move the hell on.

That's all for me.

EDIT: I just had a brainstorm while in the shower: How about we turn this into an "I LOVE my Saleen" thread? Here's how it will work: if you own a Saleen and love it, PM me. Each time I receive a PM, I will bump this thread. You will only see "bump" in the text field but you'll know what it means. I will send all PMs of support/affection for Saleens to HQ in Irvine.

There is no sense in beating this dead horse folks   The bottom line is we all know that there have been issues with some of the 2006 E cars.  Are they all lemons, no - but unfortunately there are problems.  We know for a fact that Viper's car was running fine and even sold to a new owner that is still enjoying it.  I know of an '06 owner around here that is happy with the car and even talked to the dealer to see if they have had any major issues - no.  So apparently there was a batch of '06 E's that went terribly wrong.  But that doesn't mean the Saleen, Ford or Galpin are all bad folks and deserve to be drug through the mud.  They may not be handling your case in a satisfactory method for sure.

I guess what I'm saying is this:  db28, I can't begin to imagine your frustrations and hope it all works out for you.  However for you to repeadly say "I just want to warn any potential Saleen owners......" is just not fair.  Sure you've had a bad experience along with some others.  But there have been no major issues, buy backs or lemon laws on any PJ's, S-331's S-281's or S-281 SC's that I am aware, so to blanket the whole line in your "warning" is just not fair.  Even the '07 E cars seem to be performing fine.

Just my 2 cents on this 7 months later.  Again, I mean no ill will and wish you the best.

I have to bump in support of smoothy and amy on this...

Sorry for DB's poor luck but the rest of us seem to be having a great time with our Saleens.  PJ's, 3V, SC, and most E's ( althought DB shows us that there are a few poor examples of Saleen's otherwise superior build quality)

Ooops!  Do I work for Saleen?  How can I say these things unless I stand to gain?!

Look little man, I'm a doctor.  I'm pretty objective about what I see.  And that's why I'm calling BS to you extending this thing out for your gain.

Most of us (it appears) actually like our cars and tend to support them when someone comes on an enthusiast site and bashes the whole thing.

So keep going until Feb.  I'll be here posting my support for our cars the whole way.  Axe said it clearly above - you may have your issues, but don't come on here like you've been doing and drag our cars into the mud from your anecdotal data.

Chuck

Now let's get back to Jazzer making us laugh, Amy making our jaws drop, Mills and Timm chiming in, and Mickey making us wish we were his age.
