I have had the dead battery problem. I am keeping my eye on this forum to see if I should take the car to dealership and have them fix it. For now I just turn the stereo off before turning the car off.

quico> Good Luck, I hope that works for your Saleen. But you should not have to do that all the time. I hope what you & others have read from this topic will be helpful in all ways.
For others who are thinking of buying a Saleen. I found another Topic on this forum>>Saleen Quality Control ??? click on this link>> http://mustangforums.com/m_2190208/tm.htm it's start date was 11-06-06 by sf49er.

SALEEN100>Your last 2004 Saleen you had to go to bbb from your message on Page 1 of this topic. Now you are starting to have your problems on your 2006 Saleen #100 with only 1700 miles on it from your topic started Feb 7,2007 >> MY SALEEN EXTREME PROBLEMS ARE STARTING ****TT . From your topic you have left messages with no response from Saleen Inc.. So are you going to really take it back to Galpin Ford to get it serviced ? Seriously, go see Buerge Ford in W.L.A./Santa Monica 310-820-2631, see Service Writer Jason & have him assign it to Mark(the mechanic) & see what he can do for you. Good luck, you may have to call bbb1-800-955-5100 again.

don't worry partner, it will be over before you know it saleen buying back my lemon #003 extreme was the best thing that could have happened. it was like a ton of bricks on my back. hang in there
while at a dinner with steve saleen, he offered it to me and i bought it, while my ford gt was there for service. with all the major problems i had with #003 and the amount of times saleen in michigan attempted to repair it, it really was no problem getting them to buy it back.
sam the jeep man> Thanks for the Support & being a Great Friend with all this crap dealing with Saleen Inc,Ford Motor Corp & Galpin Ford Dealership. You were fortunate not to have to deal with filing a Lemon Law suit(it's just time consume'g & it can take anywhere from 1 month to 1-1/2 years before going to court). Unless they settle out of court (which 9 of 10 Lemon Law case are done). Honestly, with me, the Fact that none of the 3>Saleen Inc.,Ford Motor Corp. or Galpin Ford Dealership would take responsibility & take care of the Customer & just buy this car back from me, for what I paid for it. This Lemon just sits in my gargage collecting dust. Friends, neighbors & their friends come by & want to see this LEMON. Believe me it's the talk of the area & Negative words are spreading more & more each day. I am fortunate(like you) to have other cars that I drive & other collector's cars that we talk about too. This is just old News & I will be very happy when this whole ordeal is over. It's stressful knowing that the Customer in this real world is not #1 in Ford,Saleen's or Galpin's mind. But when you are buying their product they are right there for you.
A friend of mine drove by Galpin Ford in the San Fernando Valley,Ca. & said he saw like 3 used Saleen Mustangs on their USED LOT. I hope that people are Not buying these cars(New or Used) & having troubles with them & then trading or turning them back & loose'g Good $$ on them. If they are, I wish they would throw their $$ my way.
I'm glad you got your P.J.(that's another story) & are Very Happy with it. Keep living right & God Bless.

CHUCKDOC> or CHUCKY DUCKY You must work for Saleen, if you dont want people to see the real side of the way this company takes care of it's Customers that buy their TOP OF THE LINE SALEEN MUSTANGS.
I dont go up on your thread about your P.J. that has decals that you have to take off your car when you drive it.(Sounds like a PEP BOYS car too me). So, if you dont have NOTHING else to do but read my thread that you hate so much, then just dont read it. Nobody is making you read this. Enjoy your ORANGE SUNKIST COLOR car & move on. Get some superglue & glue your decals on. I am just being REAL about my 2006 Extreme & I cant speak for your car, so dont attempt to talk about mine. So I will/have voiced my opinion on here & that's what this forum is for.
I just want other possible Saleen buyers to read how they will get treated if they have a problem with their car. Why do you think there are cut backs in the SALEEN COMPANY ? If they made Top Notch cars they would be HIRING not FIRING/LAYING off employees. Go figure.

db28: chill man, no need to insult chuckdoc's name or his car. I think his point is that this thread isn't really accomplishing anything other than turning into a slagpit. You keep bumping the thread to keep it alive; everyone who visits this board is aware of your problems and has 100% sympathy for your issues, but this constant bumping really isn't accomplishing anything. If you have any real news (lemon accepted or rejected) then by all means let us know. The search feature will allow future generations of Saleen owners to access your thread if they use the proper keywords.

Now that they've combined Saleen, Roush, Boss, Shinoda, etc. into one category, I wish they'd make a new category for people who want to rant about problems with their cars, Saleen the company, Roush the company, dealers, etc. Then, those who want to know the "dark side" would have a place to go and those who want to stay upbeat could just steer clear. My posts would qualify for both categories depending on what's going on, so it's not that I think one category is "better" than the other. Wishful thinking, I know...
This thread started with guy who's pissed and a few posts later, many people were jumping in to try to help the poor guy with the technical aspects of his problem. I'm thinking: "Now there's the beauty of this forum: everyone working together to support a fellow enthusiast and help him with his car problem." Unfortunately the thread then degraded to ranting, shaming, finger-pointing and name-calling. ON BOTH SIDES! What a disappointment!
It's time to move on. When this thread moves to the top, ignore it. Unless you're willing to admit that you slow down for traffic accidents.... And if so, then don't complain about the folks in the accident! Slap yourself on the forehead for slowing down to look!

I'm fairly new around here. So, I'm not trying to tell others how to think. I, personally, feel that we should support our fellow Saleen owners, when they are not treated properly, and praise Saleen, and the dealers, when we do receive the service that buyers of premium priced vehicles expect.
