UPDATE!!! FUNNY THREAD! Got a citation in my front door today!

So I was just about to hop in my car and head out to Staples to buy a DB37 cable for my megasquirt.. As im going out the door, I see a piece of paper fall on my front door step! It says on the back *Call Sgt. ****face*. So I flip it over and its a Smithfield Police Department WARNING!... wtf!

At the bottom of the paper, it says "Violation" : Muffler

So I called and spoke to the officer and he asked if I had modified the exhaust at all, I said yes, It has aftermarket headers. And he got all.. well those are illegal... blah blah blah. So I stated to him that the headers have a CARB E.O number on them and are 50 state legal, and that I had all the documentation to prove it! So he asked if it would be alright for him to stop by and just listen to the car... So I started to panic... Ive got dumps, which are illegal in my state, and quite loud.

So in a stroke of genious I thought to myself.. Here is my chance to strike back!

I took an old shirt that I had laying around, cut the sleeves off, stuffed them up into the pipes. Then took the rest of the shirt and used it to secure the pieces and used clamps to hold it all together.... the end result!!!! a deadly silent exhaust...

Im not sure yet, he hasnt come by yet. I really hope he comes today so that my car isnt out of commission for a while... i do not dare drive it with the shirt in my exhaust... thats just asking for a fire!

i always wondered if that would work...... stick some moist rags in my muffler in line for emmisions, never had the balls though.

You should DEFINETLY set your camera up and video tape it when he comes by! Just hide your camera somewhere and turn it on a few mintues before he gets there....that would be f*ckin awsome haha

Good idea for last minute. Good thing he didn't pull you over or you would be screwed. And where does this guy get off leaving a ticket in your door? Illegal headers? He obviously didn't look underneath it right? If dumps are a no no, he wasn't curious about your lack of tailpipes?
