I have only ran water through the injection kit so far, it is capable of both, I am going to be installing the ford t-loc within the next few weeks, the stock 3.31's are staying though, I like them and with the dr's I have I get a little "effective gearing" change going with smaller tires,
My son loves it!!!!
I have gleemed a lot info from you and your car with the X already but I was hoping you were going to change to the 373's so I could see your new et with 373's :(
Can't talk you into it?!?!? :) j/k
X
my favorite gear ratio has seemed to be around a 3.55, thats what I have had on the last 4 or 5 vehicles, with the dr's I have 275/40/17, one calculator I have used shows my "effective" gearing at 3.48, with the tune I'm running from Doug it seems even lower, I dont know if it would be worthwhile for me to change to the 3.73's, any possible benefit for isnt worth the trade off for cost or higher revs, will share any info I can on the X, its something I love to talk about. LOL

2005 Premium Satin Silver 4.0 V6, a few show and go mods
ORIGINAL: Krazer Afixer I can't find the thread I saw it in but who sells that fuse box cover you have on your car? I like it big time I have to get one very nice!
You mean like this one?
Thumbnail Image
Yep that is it I found Afixers below to make sure very nice where did you guys get them from? :)
Torch I think found the fuse box cover on -ebay, is this who sells the one you have and is Affixers the same one as yours which I now think it is?
When I first seen Afixers I thought is was black with silver ribs/4.0 ( I liked) but must just be the lighting from the picture but will still get one even though its not. I looked at all the others Steeda, Mac and others I like the one you guys have the best. I think I am going to e-mail the guy and see if he make one up painted matte black and leave the ribs/4.0 silver before I order.
Does anyone have a set of aliminum or any other after market valve covers on there Mustang?.

He sells the GT version on eBay, and when I was hunting for something different as a "secret santa" gift for Afixer, I called them up and convinced them to produce a pair of "4.0" covers (as long as I was getting one for Afixer, I figured I might as well get one)
Cost was reasonable ($35 per). I know the seller was interested in making more if there was a market in the "4.0" ranks. I'm sure you can contact them and get one.

Ok that is what that secret santa stuff i read was about. LOL
That is so nice and is so reasonably priced, yeah I am thinking black/ silver if I decide to go with the X maybe X-C on the cover but I really like the 4.0 on there and would also be good as people won't say is this a 6 or a 8 at car shows or meets. :)
Krazer, Yeah, that's the same guys on the eBay listing.
Ok thanks hey couple questions do you know anyone carrying nice valve covers for our cars?
One more thing did you ever think about or talk to Dave is possible Dave could get the blower in a high polish? I really like it the way it looks now but just curious.

Yeah, I've got 410's and I'm a little afraid I won't be able to keep my tires from smoking! Crap, I may be doing another gear swap and the 410's only have about 500 miles on 'em.

Ya, I don't think you need a tall gear for the X. Which is something to factor in if you go X, can save some cash on gears.

Holy Sh*T you have 4.10's thats what I want to run with the X Charger man you have to keep me informed I will be pm'ing you after your X Charger install count on it.
Beausatng our power curve ( X Charger per dyno sheets) hp& tq follows a GT closely and there are GT guys running good et's with 4.10's like firestang for one.

i just don't understand why you'd buy a v-6 and supercharge it. why not just buy the GT, which is N/A, and built from the factory to handle 300hp and 320 tq? and with full factory warranty! these days you can buy a GT OTD for $25-$26k, which is less than you'd pay for a V6 + s/c + install + the parts you need to go with it, like LSD, etc.
seriously...trade in your car for a GT, and happy...no point in supercharging a v6 when you can get a n/a v8 with just as much power in stock form...and with full warranty!!!
