Default Repair update

Well Christmas has come and gone and we finally got the front end and the brakes working. Turned out the only problem with the brakes was the left front wheel cylinderwas frozen and all we had to do was rebuild it. Need to bleed the brakes all around but at least they are all working now.
Replaced both front sway bar end links and it rides a bit better now too. Need to replace both upper ball joints, but that will wait until the sons birthday for the parts. We did find out though that the water pump is shot....the fan wobbles like its a drunken sailor. Also found out that we are going to have to either rebuild or replace the steering gear box. The steering wheel has about 8 inches of rotational slop in it which leads me to the gear box. Everything else is nice and tight. Well y'all have a Happy New year and will update more as things progress. And yes I took some pics of the 65 but they are way too big to post.

Oh and by the way, we got the shifter fixed on our 4-speed top loader. Seems that all the gears are right where they are supposed to be after all.

Sounds like you've made some good progress. You can tighten the screw up in the top of the steering box to get some of the slop out of it, if you've not already done that.
