I haven't read all 4 pages of this but when I spoke to my dealer while buying my 04 GT, he said there would not be a 05 SVT Cobra. Sorry if this has already been posted.

They might skip the Cobra for 2005. Just because of the fact that they got the R comin out. And also It's a new body style. They might be a little bussy and out it off a year. Who knows though.
i am not trying to hurt anyone's feelings, but they are not making a Cobra till 2006. i know because i am sleeping with Mr. Ford's daughter... lol... but really folks, its true

I love all the new muscle cars coming out so very much!!! A lover of all speed, though I think the new GTO looks fricken retarded, might as well put a taurus sticker on it and make it a family car. It just looks so plain to me...the mustang and camaro look rightous though!

I just read in the newest Motor Trend. That the 05 SVT won't come out until late 05. But it will have over 400 hp. I'm kinda glad i din't get a 03 Cobra. Know I'm gonna wait a year for the 05.

The latest Car & Driver (Feb, 2004) quotes Ford's Phil Martens as saying, "Expect a bigger, broader separation between Mustang GTs and SVT Cobras." He goes on to state that the Cobra will have an independent rear, supercharging, and a "substantial increase from the current Cobra's 390 horsepower." Ford is going after the BMW 'M' car market with the next Cobra.
The only rumor that I heard is that it will be similar to the '03 model in that it will fall apart after 30K miles. Honda is the way to go. My civic has a turbo that will kick the mustang's tail.

There will be NO SVT in 2005! Nor will there be a convertible! But look out for Carroll Shelby in 2006. I dont know any specific numbers, but Im sure we will all be very satisfied. And stinker... Lets see some quarter mile ET's.

I have heard something about SVT leaving but havent read anything about it yet. And ya, they are prolly going to produce the cobra again. I read an article in motor trend that carroll shelby says he started with the cobra and will basicly end with the cobra as his last project. I'd rather see a V8 than V10 but whatever, but that was just the concept of it.
