Hey, what does everyone think about shorty headers.....I have a bassani x-pipe and magnaflow cat back and was wondering who knows what kind of power increase is associated with shorties..Thanks for your help. I'm thinking about the Ford Motorsport "Tri-Y" headers...ever heard of them??????Black Horse37879.8255671296

maybe 5 hp on a na engine.  Its not worth it.  Some members here suggested header wrap on your stock manifolds to be more of a performance gain than installing shorties.

Get long tubes. Now THOSE are worth it......way more than 20 horses over shortie headers, god can only wonder over the stock manifolds.

Ya long tubes are great,  Just bought some hooker super comps, way better than the JBA shorties I had before

jeep..have you ever put a set on?...the 20hp..won't be on a near stock engine......more like 12hp...not to mention you have to cut your pipes or buy a new x-pipe...I like the equal lenght shorties for easy of install and not worring about scraping them on speed bumps..now if it a marginal street car then the long tube is the right choice...going to a 1-3/4 shorty will be just as close on hp..
