Was thinking about doing a 1 din head unit that does cd/dvd/fm/am ect... and then have a in dash 7inch lcd that dosent do anything else other then be a lcd and have my other head unit just connect to it. I know its possible, I just want to know if it will actually fit in a mustang? Some of the single head units I have seen in mustangs dosent seem to have alot of extra space left. Thank you for the help

it fits but itll cost ya some $. Im plannin on gettin just a dvd player that i can put in the trunk for like 100 bucks, then buying a few screens for a few more hundred...lots cheaper and more screens. Check up on ebay or www.etronics.com
Yeah, mostly I was looking to get a nice head unit and the single LCD screen for the dash. Then get maybe a dvd player installed in the arm rest or glove box or something.
DVD player = Something cheap $50
Head Unit = CLARION DXZ945MP $300 or cheaper
LCD monitor indash = 100 on ebay
So yeah I guess it does get a little exspensive. But the way I see it most of the indash DVD/cd/fm/am head units w/ motorized lcd tv that are actually good are around 700. Or I could hope to get a good deal on one off ebay and hope it actually works. Um, looks like I am going back to the drawing board on what to do over the situation.
Hey watch out for those ebay special deals on the LCD screens for $100, I've seen them and the quality is horrible, Brands to avoid: Legacy, Pyramid, Pyle. You might want to consider spending a little extra for a better quality one.

i was wondering, can you put the 1 din lcd where your climate controls are, and move those down to where the 2 din stero was (which would also have an indash dvd player)?
