On my 91 Lx hatch, I am getting a lot of wheelspin. My mods are only full exhaust and a cone filter... More to come, but still I can't get any traction and want to know what to do.
The purpose of this car is mainly street, but hopefully some strip time. Also 6 hour rides to college and back.
Here is what I was thinking:
Subframe Connectors (weld in) what brand?
Maximum Motorsports Rear Grip kit XD
Possibly new springs and shocks and struts

The parts you mentioned are actually along the same lines as my recommendations.
Definitely attack your rear end suspension. Most of the axle wind-up, wheel hop, and traction lost can be attributed to the control arms and oem rubber bushings. Changing to the MM lowers with Panhard bar (rear end package) will make a huge difference.
For the subframes I recommend the MM Full Length Subframe connectors ... here is a link.. http://www.stangsuspension.com/store/comersus_viewitem.asp?idproduct=327
New springs & shocks will make a big difference, especially the shocks. Shocks/Struts help absorbe wheel hop and axle wind-up... it will also improve street handling & comfort.
Get the MM Rear grip Package, subframe connectors, tokico/bilstein shocks & struts, with some soft progressive rate springs (ford B, eibach pro-kit).... your 60 ft times will really improve...

Thanks Stang Suspenion. I am still concerned with full length subframes. It turns out that the previous owner used a jack that dented the frame rails near the front of the drivers side. I am unsure if full lengths would weld up nicely to these dents? I look forward to doing business with you concerning my suspension needs.

Also, I am wondering exactly what type of shocks/struts. There are so many different types.... like what are the differences of drag vs whatever ..
anyways if I just use the tokico shock / strut kit.. it adds up to $1142.37 is there any way to get this price down. being 18 it looks like my suspension woes aren't going to be solved soon. Then i have to add on installation fees because suspension i doubt isa diy project.
