ORIGINAL: my77stang i am semi-familiar with these trannys, but i dont know that another bellhousing would work. i suggest selling the trans and using the money towards a T-5 which can me made to slap right in there. now that i think about it - the 300 6 cyl had the same bellhousing bolt pattern as the 302's and i have a 89 ford van with a 300 6 and that "mazda" 5 speed tranny. so i guess that would be the bellhousing you need. I'll sell ya the whole running van for 500.00 complete with 565,000 miles on it (rebuilt motor, trans, and alot of rust) [:)] Actually, I'm looking for options OTHER than the T5. The locals seem to think they are worth their weight in platinum or something. And I'd be putting it behind a V6, not a 5.0/302... I'm going to try finding a MII 2.8/Rad bellhousing and see if I can mod it to fit (the same way some modify the Rad bell to fit a T5) I'll take the van, if that $500 includes delivery (I'm in BC CANADA, eh?) Basically, I'm seeing if there are any other viable options to get O/D in a II, and I've got a healthy respect for the Toyo/Kogyo (I had one hold up behind a 200 hp 2.8 w. 7500 redline, transfer case, 4.10's and 32" muds, through multiple powershifts, burnouts, and wheelies) I'll post findings if I have any success on this...
