It surely looks Ford's response towards the Chrysler 300. You can't tell much by the picture but looks alright. Regarding the engine..I don't remember that Ford still using 5.0 displacement engines...wonder if this is a new engine or based the old fox body one.

I don't know what spec engine is in the new Interceptor concept, but I do know that a new 5 liter modular motor is supposed to go into production sometime in the next 2 years.  Whether it will be SOHC or DOHC has yet to be announced........but I'm hoping it's a 4V.

I believe they are using the ford racing 5.0 cammer engine they use in the boy racer track cars and the same engine you can buy but it is like $14,999. I doubt they would go back to pushrod technology, but hey I could be wrong....

I hate that dodge, ford and chrysler are using the same chasis and the charger, 300m and the interceptor look alike..
i bet this interceptor will be based on the same chasis and 3.5L engine and  (5.0L engine - optional) just like the other two cars

There's been no indication that Ford is bringing back the OHV (pushrod) 5.0
What has been talked about so far seems to point to a OHC (modular) 5.0 motor being introduced.  And it may well be wearing the Boss name (the Hurricane designation was done away with).  Early estimates point to a 375-420hp output.......depending on the final specs.
And no..........it won't be the 5.0 Cammer motor that FRPP sells.

"...a manual six-speed gearbox mated to a Ford Racing 5.0-liter V8 Cammer engine that delivers 400 horsepower and runs on E-85 (85% ethanol) fuel."

Although it DOES say it is the Cammer, it also states that the Concept version has the 5.0 Cammer.

Well for the concept cars.......yea.  Of course Ford will jam the 15K Cammer motor in there.  Just don't expect that motor to be in the production version........unless they plan on this being a 40K+ sedan.

For SEMA Ford jammed one of its new 302 crate motors into a S197 GT.  But that doesn't mean Ford is going back to a carbed motor for its next Boss Mustang.
