SVT Focus: 0-60 = 8.6, 1/4 mile = 16.6

SVT Contour: 0-60 = 7.9, 1/4 mile = 15.7 (top speed of 143)

That is a lie about the focus dammit ,  the focus has less horsepower but ive been in both and have seen the numbers. A focus would rape a contour

Dammit its a Svt Focus vs Svt Contour lol I love contours way more and would never even have a svt focus but i'm still just saying that a stock svt focus would beat  stock svt contour

This site lists these results...

Focus SVT:  15.9 @ 90.2 mph     Contour SVT: 15.30 @ 91.8 mph

http://www.car-videos.com/performance/distance.asp?dist=1320

Also Road and track magazine lists the SVT Focus in the quarter:

15.8 @ 88.9 mph

and the SVT Contour in the quarter at:

15.4 @ 91.5 mph

I think its pretty safe to say that you just don't know when to stop bumping threads... do you?  Avan's numbers could easily be accurate at a different track at higher elevations or poor conditions, as the numbers are proportional to what ALL the other comparison tests come to from ALL the other people that ran them.

Any way ask anyone that works at Shoshop or anywhere and they will tell you that the SVT Contour would need a few upgrades to run low 15s.  I luv them but there not that fast.  ShoShop specializes in parts for the SVt contour I think if anyone really knew, they would.

Full sized cars that are also "musclecars" are very appealing to the middel aged man that also has more money than the average 19 year old.
