Sunday January 14th 2007, we will meet in Calabasas, CA at the El Camino shopping center off of Mulholland Hwy where there will be many other Mustang owners as well as other exotic cars. From there we will cruise out in the canyons to PCH around 1030AM. Initial meeting location is literally right off of the 101 valley circle/mulholland hwy exit

Hey guys, Notice the change in date. I guess saturday dec30 seems to work better for most people who are interested, so i talked to stang skeleton and a couple of others and we decided to resched for saturday morning Dec.30 around 11am. We can initially meet at Topanga cyn blvd and Ventura blvd (city of woodland hills). from woodland hills we can cruise out to PCH through the canyons and go to starbucks or something in malibu country mart. How does that sound to everyone?

Arrgh!!! I live in LA... and, of course, I'm in Florida for the holidays... Maybe next time.

A suggestion for the route, though:

Topanga Canyon to PCH
Turn R on PCH. Head north to Malibu.
Turn R on Malibu Canyon Road.
Turn L on Mulholland Drive.
Turn L on Kanan Dume.
Turn R on PCH (again). Stop at the Starbucks at Trancas Canyon.
Eveyone pulls out to the overlook one mile to the west of Trancas for a group photo.
North all the way past Pt. Mugu rock, then back to the 101 Ventura Freeway.
Ventura Freeway back to your starting point.

Will be about 75 - 100 miles, but its a GREAT drive.

If we can get a good 5 or so, then count me in!

Hey sounds like you guys had a blast. Sorry, i missed it. I got caught up and just wasnt able to come out, but next time for sure. Other than that, stang skeleton said the canyons,ocean, and stangs were great and it shows in those pics. They came out awesome as well.

Haha -- between Stang Skeleton & our 2 setups being as loud as they are I'm sure that we sounded like a severe thunder storm running into the canyons.

hey.. it was good to meet some of you guys. but me and my buddy had itchy feet and couldnt wait around any more so we took off and cruised the beach. he just bought that 07 GT CS and wanted to go drive. if you do it again count me in and maybe i will stick around long enough to cruise with the rest of you. i got some good info from you guys, so thanks.

ZZledgend- I think we all gained a little info during the cruise and saw a few aftermarket parts that we liked. You 2 should have stuck around for a bit because the driving was a good & even got a little intense after two @ssholes decided to chit chat side by side and block us all in.:D All the stangs sounded real nice together.

Elburritto99- I would have love to see you open that up and see if you all of 495 HP... ;)

Very COOL! Im going to try and organize a 2000 Mustang and newer cruise night out here in NorthChicagoland area this spring.I've already talked with a local pizza place with plenty of parking.The reason for 2000 and newer is,The shows I've tried to enter or even participate in have shoed me off.My car maybe custom but to new.I know theres alot of newer Mustangs in the area that would like to show off there stuff! Im shooting for April? Hopefully no snow.

lol. its funny you ask if we ran them off the road. we didnt just do that, we must have scared the living daylights out of them as myself and moses05gt came around from both sides and flew by them with our exhausts and then all the others followed. they probably thought they were going to die lol.

that was one of my fav parts of the cruise...LOL.....ill post my pics in this thread..but be advised my cell camera doesnt take the greatest pics.....i have to get ready for tonight so i will post em tomorroww...im in on the next cruise as welll...it was AWESOME!.....evryone was so cool.....and the sound was beautiful thruogh the canyons.....i had a hard time not listening to my new radio the whole day........

Hopefully I can make the next one...I'd already promised to take my dad to the SD Auto Show, and so we did that (He's looking at buying a new car, and says that he wants a BMW Z4 now), which tied me up for going for a cruise. Maybe next time we can have one in the Orange County area, or San Diego...Make a run up the 67 to Dudley's Bakery in Santa Ysabel, nice cruise, and if anyone wants to run Palomar from there, they can.

Dreem363 - the track is on Jan 13 at California Speeway -- Gates open at 7 and they will only take the first 400 cars. They were sold out last time I was there. Hope to see a few of you there or we can meet up that morning and roll from there. I'm going to post a thread about it right now.

There is an ongoing car cruise/ meet in calabassas, I beleive every sunday morning.
A local So. Cal. classic mustang club goes there for coffee, then cruises up the coast to neptunes nest for lunch.
I will get more info to confirm this if anyone is interested.
The Calabassas meeting place has a very large parking lot, assorted eating places, and has a large assortment of cars show up.I went there about a year ago, and saw a lot of exotic cars , mixed in with classics, and hot rods.

We should all input our suggestions for where and when for the next meet and that way we can figure something out that would be good for most people. The calabasas idea sounds great to me.

It was awesome seeing fifteen or so very sweet '05-'07 Mustangs running through Topanga Canyon. We got a lot of looks/smiles/wavesfrom folks. At one point, when about half of us were at the red light waiting to turn onto the Pacific Coast Highway, drivers in the next lane started taking pictures with their phones, etc. of our rides. Pretty cool.

I especially enjoyed meeting everyone, learing about their rides, and seeing/hearing all the variations in exhausts, engine mods, wheels, body kits, etc.

fastshadow -- Thanks for setting up the ride. Great idea and a great turn out.

moses 05GT -- Next time maybe I'll come out without my 3 year old son (although he did have a blast seeing all the cars and has been asking "where are all the Mustangs?" ever since Saturday).That way I can really open the throttle and have some fun...

For those who were not there, I forgot to mention one thing about the above 2 pix I posted and these 2 below. Directly across the street from this parking lot is Topanga Beach (just south of Malibu) and a wide open view of the Pacific Ocean. It doesn't get much better than that.

Here's the address that was previously posted and as far as the time goes, if we meet up later we won't get to see the rest of the cars...I'm up for lunch at Netunes if everyone else wants to cruise the coast... (Stangnewbie, maybe we could set a time that we will depart from Calabasas, then you would have a window of time to arrive)

Thats a good idea grabber. So we can meet there at anywhere from 830AM to 1100AM. And we can depart and leave calabasas to go cruising at 1100AM sharp. That way people can come from 7AM-11AM whenever suits them best. It should be fun with a bunch of stangs and other exotics etc there

cool nice to know i wont be theonly 4.0 little guy with all these gt's ...LOL....my status for the 14th.....as far as i know i will be there (unless i go back to work from being on call, but even then im going to swing this meet) since the show is from 7am to 11am (or so i can gather) i will probably be there around the stated 8:30 meet time and am open to cruising once we all get there..(it wouldbe cool if we getothers cars at the display to go as well buyt not necessary) im open all day so as far as im concerned i will see you guys at 8:30 and see whoever else gets there when they get there. i haveblocked that whole day out for this so im open till whenever.....i may try to get there at 7 am but 8:30 is looking like the arrival time for me....just dont forget about me when we go to lunch and leave for our cruise.....as for lunch im open for anything just keep me posted....also one suggestion for the night before: someone should post in this thread a list of those who will be showing up (so we know who to look/wait for)....i also want to say that if your saying your going to show/cruise and dont....you will be missing out....we had a great time and im sure this will be just as fun....(my 2cents) on another note i have a set of walkie talkies that i could bring for communicative purposes between atleast two cars (the lead and myself preferably) they have decent range let me know if i should bring em......looking forward to the 14th and seeing everyone again and meeting the new stangers.......im really loooking forawrd to this meet.....c you all then..

yeah. in terms of food, theres a mcdonalds, islands burgers, and a couple of whole in the wall shops. Not really any good breakfast, but there will be really good breakfast where we are cruising out to in malibu.

I didn't have it planned but a buddy that lives near the Kenny Roasters called me early this morning and said they were there. So, I jumped in the car and headed on over. Took some pics and vid's with my digital camera. Unfortunately you will have to create an account to view for now.

I get challenged all the time!!! It's lame too!!! I think it's because I'm only a six...they are pissed cuz some GT killed them the day before and they take it out on me... Last night and older M3 pulled up the ((dash glowing and all)) Revving away...I had him at the jump but he just kept pulling...he didn't blow my doors though so whatever...it was fun...I've even had a Prius race me and a new Scion TC...both kills but...not note worthy...

Im not sure if the exotics are meeting there this sunday but if they are, they usually do a 730-930 meet, so it should keep the early comers occupied till everyone shows up. I used to live out in Thousand Oaks. Now I'm in frozen Colorado. We used to run PCH to County Line and eat at Neptunes Net. Great place to go! On weekends it's a custom car and motorcyle hotspot. Lots of fast cars and Harleys and even some rice. If you have time it's definately worth going there! Lots of Stangs together are sure to draw some looks.

There is an Islands Burgers, McDonalds, Vons, etc in this shopping center. It is literally right off of Valley Circle/Mulholland exit off the 101

We will be meeting there from 800AM till about 1030AM when we will head out and cruise the canyons to PCH in Malibu where we can stop to chat/lunch etc.

It was great meeting everyone and being a part of such a large turnout. Moses05 and I are going to try to get a cruise scheduled for South OC/ North SD in a few weeks. I will post dates as soon as possible.
