Default Ok, ive read the exhaust sticky but still need help.

Ok, so for Christmas, instead of getting the things on my list (other than Steeda pedals) i got alot of money, and i wanna do LTs and duals, can anyone point me towards quality headers and systems, quality in sound and quality in price.. i will be installing them myself with my friends hydraulic lift and his tools so i dont need to worry about installation fees.. But i say a spending limit of 500-600 hundred TOTAL would sound like about as much as i will earn/recieve/savedin the near future. I was leaning towards Magnaflow, I usually dont do alot of high rpms since im usually just driving a top of 40 to get to and from work, i just want to be heard, and it wouldnt be bad to make some noise when i wanna show off and burn some rubber.

It's gonna be tough to get an entire aftermarketexhaust system for a sixer and do it under $600.

If you're looking for an LT setup (although not my cup of tea) ebay has one or two MAC LT and MAC x or h mid pipes for around $400, so all you're gonna have to do is find a cheap GT catback system and you're good. Well, you still need MIL eliminators with the O2 extenders to eliminate any check engine codes. You can forget Magnaflow though, their catbacks cost at least $400, so unless you get another couple of hundred, you're not going to be able to get them.

On a side note, don't forget to weld the pipes together where the bolts join them. Yes, they do just, bolt up, but you need to weld them together to help stop the bolts from backing out, and causing bad leaks, it also stops any leaks from forming if you don't have them quite tight enough.

Well, to either Jthorn ot Ryan, what do you suggest i do exhaust wise? i dunno how much ill have but ill have a good deal of money. I mean all i want is something that will scare the ricers away... im tired of the never ending jog against GTIs and lil dinky Chevys, Jettas and the hondas! ran against one with a cardboard "bodykit" before i had to get rid of my insurance agent (bastard was overcharging)...

I would just get an O/R H or X pipe, mil eliminators, and look on ebay for some deals on Magnaflow, do it that way, and you should have just enough money.

Dont forget you want ceramic coated headers, and a stainless, or aluminized steel crossover pipe
