Hi all , I need some opinions please.  I just bought an 07 v6 premium and I was going to make a shelby clone out of it.  Instead of the gt 500 side rocker stripes, I am using gt 350 stripes, my car already came with the white racing stripes down the top of the car, from the factory.  Then i would put on the eleanore style fogs and grill , shelby spoiler and allo the shelby badges.  Just didn't know if this is stupid for a v6.

If you want it...its not stupid.  Don't let some meathead talk you out of something that you really want.  First and foremost...its your car!  If you want to do it...do it! Just make sure that you will be happy with it, because when it comes to your car, you are the one driving it every day (or almost every day)  If you want a shelby clone, more power to ya, i think it would look sweet.  A couple of guys on here have the CS6 thing going already, and man they look friggen sick.

So if someone comes up to you and says....why are you doing that to a V6?  You just say because you wanted to.

Hope this helps!

what color do you have. I want to do that same thing with mine. gt500 rear is good though, and a chin, because it follows the black rocker panels.

center light thing is at v6mustangstuff.com
gt500 spoiler is on ebay for like 220 unpainted
you'll need some rims also
shelby badges, email clevparts@aol.com he sells all oem parts (ford parts dept.)

While it is your car, my personal opinion. Just as long as you don't badge your car as what it isn't most people won't care. But your still makn the payments so you make up YOUR mind.

I think it's a stupid idea for a V6 and a GT as well.  Why pretend to have something that you don't?  I'd be embarrased to have a "clone" and then have to explain that it's just a "copy".  Want a Cobra?  Buy the real thing.  You asked for opinions...

When I bought my car I was looking at a couple of body kits including the roush and the cervini's. I didn't want to be considered a "poser" with the v6 so I was excited to see that Shelby came out with the CS6 a v6 mustang with a SICK hood and front fascia and styling and performance parts.  If you’re thinking of dropping a lot of money on a body kit, check out the CS6.  It’s just another option to consider but I just thought I'd throw it out there...

I don't see why you would want to put "GT" 350 on your V6 mustang! I myself have a V6, so I'm not downing you, but that would be like putting Superbird on the side of a Charger or RS SS on the side of a 1969 6cyclinder camaro you just don't do it! You bought a V6 so be proud of it don't make it something its not. Also to the people who put MACH 1 on the side of there car! Has a MACH 1 mustang ever come with a V6? I think not, IMO you are downing a legend by doing stuff such as this. Put you a nice bodykit on it, then 4.0 high performance decals, some nice rims, then blow the car or shoot it with juice(which ever you perfer)  and bust GT'S left and right with it. Don't take me wrong though you did ask for opinions. I would rather see a person representing a 4.0 as a 4.0 and making it go fast then a 4.0 representing a TRUE V8 MUSCLE CAR and trying to be a poser. In my eyes its just more respectful.

I think if you want to do it DO IT!!! You don't need our approval...BUT post pics after each new add...

The only bad thing I see in this is if you actually ended up racing someone...LOL!!! No one has to know it's not a GT 350 unless you want them to know!

Nice fender cobra BTW!

Not bad. I assume you are getting new rims, and a new front grill....
