no not going too get the rims and the front grill, I will keep these rims, because this mustang was patterned after a 67 shelby, these wheels are closer to original in 67, I am going to get the 67 style hood and rear deck with molded in spoiler, just like the original, and also a center fog light grill just like the original.  Thats my plan!

I'm looking to do more of a clone retro of a 67 shelby, than too just copy the new GT500 car.   I want it to be unique!

I'm jealous man!  I'm really liking the 67 idea you got going.  My Christmas list was all appearance parts to go back to the 66 and 67 Fastbacks.  My car will eventually be like this t-shirt >> http://store.cal-mustang.com/showdetl-7-11721-25-0.html

If you are looking for more badges look here >> http://store.cal-mustang.com/showdetl-7-2882-19-0.html

Regarding this anti-replica thing, it seems to me making a replica of your favorite Mustang, be it a Shelby, Mach 1 or what have you is not much different than wearing a football jersey with a players name on it.  Does this mean you think you are the player?  No it just means you like or respect the guy.  If you favorite car in the world is a GT350 then knock yourself out.  After all Carroll is selling the Shelby lettering kits so obviously he doesn't have an issue with it.  Back in the day we had in-line 6s, small blocks and big blocks.  In this day and age, you can compare the in-line 4s to the old I6, the V6 engine to the small blocks and the V8s to the big blocks.  Shelby claims 350 FWHP from its CS6 which compares quite favorably to a GT350 with the 289 (Shelby K Code Engine) and 306 FWHP.

Bottom line is it's your car.  If it makes you happy it isn't anyone else's business.

I just had a great idea!  I need too pull off the cobra fender emblems and the rear trunk shelby lettering.  I was looking at original 67 shelby gt 350's and I decided to use original style emblems on the car, I think this way it will give it a more retro 67 look, instead of it looking more like a 2007 gt 500.  I will add a 67 style hood, quarter window scoops, side door scoops, and rear duck tail style spoiler.

My car looks close enough for non-Mustang (no one on this thread, for sure) people to ask if it's a Shelby.  I say do what you like and turn it in to what you like.  That's the great thing about Mustangs - the individual tastes these cars can represent from basically the same base mold of car.  The only thing I can't stand is when people put badges on their cars in an attempt to try to fool people in to thinking they are driving something that they are not.  Don't stick friggin' GT emblems on a 6.  Don't stick cobra emblems on a non-cobra car.  Drives me crazy.

here is some new pics, I removed the 07 style cobras and replaced them with original 1967 shelby GT350 fender emblems.  I figure since our cars are retro based off of the 67 shelby, I would do a clone to look more like a 67 than a 07.

I like the side stripe, but I think the emblem should be more where the 07 emblems would be but that's just what I think.  Overall it's turning out great!

I put the emblems there because that is where they are on the 67 shelby GT 350.  Thanks

I am new to this sight. Where can I find this CS6 kit at? I have a 05 V6 with the razzi kit on it now, With dual exhaust and everyone thinks its a GT.  I'll try and post a pic as soon as I can figure out how. I am not the best at these pc"s.

When I bought my car I was looking at a couple of body kits including the roush and the cervini's. I didn't want to be considered a "poser" with the v6 so I was excited to see that Shelby came out with the CS6 a v6 mustang with a SICK hood and front fascia and styling and performance parts.  If you’re thinking of dropping a lot of money on a body kit, check out the CS6.  It’s just another option to consider but I just thought I'd throw it out there...
