16 v6 first car as well. love working on cars. brother has a 2004 v6 competition orange and loves it. when i first saw this car in concepts i loved it. i also always wanted an old muscle car, but my dad says....no airbags, no abs....not happening. so closest thing to it. no regrets. and no one say the v6 is slow.

I'll be 60 on January 8. Someone totaled my work car, and I had to buy another one. I asked myself, "what kind of car do I want?" And the answer was Mustang GT. So I bought it. I'm happy with the size of my body parts, BTW.

When the '05 Mustang came out I knew that I had to have one. But I did not want the first year of the "S197". I also own a 1967 GT Mustang that I bought in 1975 when I was a junior in High School. So my "07 is my 40 years later Mustang. I am a little early with my midlife crisis Mustang, 50 is 13 months away. My '67 needs a lot of work and I am stealing funds for it and putting it in my '07. fd

I am 29 yrs old, My first car was an 88gt 5spd, so I always had a soft spot for them. The S-197 is the first one since the fox that I flipped over. I love the retro fastback styling, the guages the 3 valve, that's what one me over. Since I bought New and got 0% for 72, I will keep this car forever. Thats saying alot!!

But I gotta love my new GT...SWEET car. If the engine ever dies out of warranty, maybe I'll slap in a 302 and build it up. :)

I am 43, was looking to buy a Stang for the past 10 yrs...and actually almost bought a 67 last year but it was too pricey. Then I made up my mind, went to the dealer and bingo...mission accomplished. Love the Stang and everything that it stands for...

2005 V6, I'm 20. Reason: the best all around package. Cheaper than other cars I was looking at, looks better than the competition, and has a decent amount of oomph!

I'm 57. I had two 66 Mustangs, one with a V8 and stick, an 85 Mustang GT 5.0, 5 speed and now my 06 GT with 5 speed manual. I am curious what the 2026 model will look like. I realize that by todays definition, this is a muscle car, but I don't consider it a muscle car since I had original muscle cars in the sixties and seventies. I wanted one the first time I saw the pictures of the S197, but it took me a few years to get my budget ready for it and to wait for the bugs to be worked out. My car is Wine Red (whatever they call it) with the 18" polished Bullit wheels. BTW, I don't need Viagra and I have no problem with the size of my body parts. Luckily my wife of 32 years needs no help either and she also is happy with my body parts. So, I'm driving a powerful, manual transmission car and have a good sex life. Life can get no better.

Mustangs have always been a thing in my family. My dad and uncle both had a '66 for their first car. Another Uncle had a '70 Mach 1 until recently when he sold it to get an '06 GT. Another Uncle had an '82 GT. He recently picked up a black "06 GT/CS. Growing up mom and pops had a '79 LX. Sister-n-law has a '66 289 3spd. Cousin has a '99 V6. I am 27 now and it was time to get mine.

I am 33 years old. I had been saving for a convertible for 1 1/2 years and knew I wanted a fun to drive, stylish convertible. The Mustang fit the bill.

I was 16 when i bought by first car - a $200.00 77 Mustang II T-Top car with a blown up V6. It still looks like it belongs in a junk yard, but with a 425 HP 302 (all motor) it spanks almost every car that trys to pass me. Now I'm 25, and when the wife said she wanted to buy a new car for her to drive I wasnt about to sink 20-30K into anything other than a Mustang. We shopped around (hello eBay) and picked up a red 06 GT with black leather for $24,000 and only 2k miles on it. (local ford dealer wanted over 30k after all the paperwork and crap) Our 06 seems to have more little issues and rattles/whines than I would EVER have thought, but nontheless I still have fun every time I get behind the wheel

Purchased my first Mustang, a 5 year old '65 GT coupe as a daily driver for college after I got out of the Marines in 1970. Acquired my second Mustang, a '75 coupe through marriage in 1976, just wished she would have kept the '66 GTO tripower instead. So my new manual '07 Torch Red GT vert. will be my third Mustang and it will arrive sometime between now and Christmas. Though the Mustangs are all long gone, I still have the same wife so getting a new Mustang was not an issue as long as she could drive it once a week. I may have to replace her '98 Grand Marquis SE with a new one before too long. She's just debating new with all of the deep discounts, or her present car, which still runs great with the digital dash. Oh yeah to answer your question, 61 going on 16.
