I'm in Dallas on business every so often, but I don't usually take my car on the plane. Cheers, and Merry Christmas =) Thumbnail Image

Yea, I second that. Cobras are nice granted... but can be easily beaten with the right mods. They can overtake more than half of the imports no doubt (due to idiot ricehead non-mechanic kids), but its a pretty dead even fight against camaros. My buddy owns a 2001 orange SS that'll blow the doors off of your cobra. With the new monster camaro coming out in 07 (correct me if im wrong about the launch date) I am kind of wondering how ford will compete with its 305 hp ponies.. but thats a different thread altogether. ALSO correct me if im wrong, but didnt they make liek a 94 or 95 mustang that had a 5.4L engine in it? It was either prototype.. or WICKID rare.. I honestly dont remember. I'll have to do some research.

ORIGINAL: jacrockett Any time you want to show me how my 03 Cobra motor is beaten in the 1/4 mile (by antthing n/a), or going around corners, bring it on!!!!! Bring lots of cubic inches, a knarly suspension, and a DAMN good driver. This thead cracks me up - ROTFLOL I don't mean to be a dick by bringing up an old thread..but have you seriously even been to a drag strip?? There are tons of camaros around me that are N/A and pushing 500rwhp. Not to mention a Cammed Z06 would eat your car ALIVE. Sorry to be the dick to step on your ego..but it happens. Sorry to sound so arrogant. I admit that I was overracting a little to David_K at the time. In my defense, I was refering to beating "anything n/a" in a modular motor. The "bring lots of cubic inches" is intended to allow for the GM setups you mention. My point was that I don't see any n/a modular motor (w/o N2O) making the power of an 03 Cobra with a Whipple upgrade, ported heads, full bolt-ons, Al driveshaft, and complete suspension. Cheers, and happy new year
