I just had some tires I bought off Ebay mounted on my stang and one of them has a slow leak. I've checked several times for any kind of punctures and I can't find any. The valve stem is new too and dosn't seem to be leaking. What else could it be?

If it's somthing like that should I take it back to who mounted it or will they probably not fix it b/c I didn't buy the tire from them?

Yeah, it`s a rim leak for sure. Take it back where they were mounted and have them re mount and balance the tire. Make sure they clean the lip of the rim really good and put on the sealer. If you paid them to mount them, then they should fix it without a problem.

Ok I did the soapy water thing and I found a tiny pin hole on the sidewall. How can I fix it?

Yea you cant fix holes in the sidewall because there are no steal belts running through and it is unsafe to fix

Yeah, like said above. Can`t fix the sidewall leak. I thought you checked the whole tire for leaks thats why I thought it was a sure rim leak. Well anyway that sucks. Thats why I would never buy used tires.

The holes on the side were really small so I cut some slivers off a tire plug and pushed them in with a needle. Worked great.

I once fixed a sidewall of a tire on my 84 Celica.  But I had a hot patch done where its vulcanized to the tire from the inside.  I never went over 85, at least not for long if I did.  I just wouldnt trust it.  No reputaple shop will do this tho.

Show car, sure I think I would.  Thats it tho.  and only if it was a tiny hole.  Whats the worse that vould happen?  repair not hold and you have a slow leak again.

i dont recomend it. just get a new tire.

Why won't the sidewall hold a plug or patch?

The sidewall flexes too much.
