Did you check the remote and ground? A test light will be your best friend here. Make sure you have all three connections and that they are good. The remote should only power on when the deck is on, so don't forget to turn your radio on when testing that connection.

Also, I would check and make sure that the battery terminal where the amp connects isn't badly corroded. If it is any of the above you might get lucky and a good cleaning with a wire brush is all you will need to do to fix the problem.

STOP TOUCHING STUFFF.......... You probably need to replace the fise in the radio for the remote turn on to start. The sparks you saw should have lasted a second or two while you GROUNDED THE REMOTE TURN ON TO THE AMP CHASSIS........ For future reference, that is bad and you should not do it. We need ya to get out a volt meter or test light and then we can get you through this, if you don't have one you can get one for a few bucks at an auto parts store. You need to check the power connections at the amp with the radio on and off.

1ST of all don't touch ground to remore. the amp has 3 power connection. power, ground and remote. you said fuses are good. power is an always on 12volts from the battery, ground is any body part of car. the remote is a 12volt switched on with key/radio. if you been touching remote or power to ground or the amp itself check fuses again. if good, take a piece of wire and touch it from power on the amp to remote on the amp. what this is doing is giving the amp the turn on voltage it needs. if the power light doesn't come on then. remove the amp from the car and use jumper cables from the battery + to power, - to ground and a piece of wire from power to remote. if it doesn't work then you need new amp or to get this one fixxed

oh yea if the amp powers up on the 1st try. the remote turn on from the radio is must likely bad. if it turns on with the 2nd try check all wires. you will need a volt meter or test light for that.

the remote is the turn on from the radio, it comes on when the radio is on, there maybe a fuse on that wire that goes to the radio most likely not. the fuse is most likely in the radio. so you can have the radio fixxed or find another 12volt that comes on with the key and hook it up to the remote. the down fall to this is the amp would be on if the key was on, even if you had the radio off you might hear a hiss coming from the speakers

that's hard to say without being there. i would guess a fuse is blown. i would guess you haven't pulled the radio out of the car and the fuses you're checking are in the fuse panel or the main power fuse for the amp. the fuse i'm thinking of would be behind the radio(this is an aftermarket radio right). the wire might say remote or power ant. it is an output from the radio to the amp, but odds are fuse is in the radio. you can check the wire and connection but to do that the radio is going to have to come out. so that needs tobe the next step. you got to pull the radio out to check the wires and fuses behind it

well i haven't worked with the shaker, but i think the remote turn on that comes out of it is only 5volts(stock amps only need 5volts to turn on.) your aftermarket amp needs 12volts. the only way to check it is to find the wire at the back of the radio and use a volt meter to see if you a voltage on it when the radio is off.  but back to the 5volts and 12volts turn ons. if you're turning on an aftermarket amp with only 5volts even if you fix it, it's going to go out again. your amp needs more power then the radio is giving it. you'll need to find another 12volt turn on source.  the radio should have the same kind of setup to turn it on(power, ground and remote turn on) if you could find the remote turn on for the radio you could use it to turn on the amp too. but you need a voltmeter to find the wire.
