some of those came with 4-bangers. they can rev to 8000 rpms and they are geared wider than a stang. don't think it will be a blowout. those things are incredibly light.
yeah just like i though, we raced 3 times, it was a BLOWOUT by id say 5 cars every time, except the least race i messed up alil and i won by about 4 cars.
hmm the ol rx7... by the way its a rotary they naver came with a piston engine.. hehe if you were racing a riced out early second gen yah there dogs.. but it all depends on the owner and how they modifly their car, i had 2 first gens an 85 and an 82. my 85 had almost 200k on it and it still put to shame quite a few v6 stangs.. but it wasn't that fast. the 82 was alot fresher and only had 80k i took down a few gt and plenty of wanting v6's... by the way it came stock with the 12a wich is a 70cid engine... they only came stock with 115hp but only wieghed in at 2100lbs. but alwayse be werey of the 7's the will catch you off gaurd, or they will make you laugh at them in shame for even driving it...:P

Yeah rotary engines dont have cylinders ya jack a$$. Since its a rotary it can rev up to higher rpm's and get to gears faster than a cylinder engine would. I think it would be a good race but if you have mods on your car then you might be able to beat him in the long run. The only real thing is that your car weighs alot more than his so if you hang with him you should get him in the end.

Wow, his RX7 must have been a POS. I thought they were pretty fast from what I've heard.

i know rotaries don't have cylinders. but they put a four-cylinder in the rx-7 for the baseline cars. look it up before talking sh*t.
Yea some did come with 4 bangers.... they suck.... the rotary engine would have prolly toasted you... The ones i road in were insanely fast to be no mroe engine than they are lol. Anyhow yea my cousin used to race themw ith rotary engines he was running like 10 to 11 sec quarters and ****.... it kicked ass even if it was a ricer.... at least its a ford ricer lol
