Ya I drive it to work 2 or3 times a week when the weather is nice,ET Streets aren't that good in the rain.It runs just fine on pump gas and never overheats, you can see by my sig that it's not way out there as far as gear ratio and creature comforts and it's got a relatively small cam, only 248@.050.I take it to all the local car shows and cruises and drive it to the local dragstrip 40 miles away.I've been to all 6 of the World Ford Challenges in the Wild Street class and have had a blast! It's not the fastest street car in the world but it gets along OK.I've had the car like this for 12 years and it's never broken down on me.There's just something I like about that big block torque.
hey gsr guy one of my good friends jst bought a 95 integra ls vtec yesterday. the car is totaly built and stripped on the inside. but the out side in very nice and clean with a full 2000 upgrade. the car should be a high 13 second car.
Depending on how "built" and "stripped" it is... low 13s wouldn't be out of the question in the right conditions with traction/good driver.

Nostang, you built that car I have wanted to since I found out the 460 would fit in a fox body. I have even bought a few and have a 460 sittin there, just never had the resources to do it. Instead I built me some interesting Pontiacs, and a few Cleveland powered cars. Maybe I need to get my 71 Mach runnin again. Fun car.

Yeah and I agree with ya on the guys who build some fast car and never race it. Now if they beat me and I have a good run, which I usually do, then most of them have been to the track. Because without knowing where you are, its hard to make it run where it should for your combination of parts.

A few years back my car was runnin 15's. A kid I knew walked up and asked me how its running.  I told him it was runnin like crap but whenI was done with it, it would run 12's. He laughed at me and told everyone I thoguth I had built a 12 second car that ran 15's. What he didnt know was I was getting more parts together for the engine and I was settin up the rest of the car with a mule motor. Of course hooking a 400 that runs 15's isnt like hookin up a 455 with 500+ftlb of torque that runs 11's. I had it figured out when I had my engine done. I was at the track for a REASON.

nostang..I agree about the strip and time slips...as for me I only think mine will hit in the 10's but since mine is just a street car and I do not in any way want to cut on it I don't have a roll bar..so where we run I would be banned for running under 11:30's...so I'm waiting on getting mine tuned so I could do my 1 shot down the track..I do need to slip out to a street nite and run a few..to seehow far I'm off in theory mine should run a 10'50 so I'm hope for a 10.90 a 10:50 would have to have every thing perfect which it isn't close..that's one reason I don't have a time up on it...
my chevelle ran a 12:70-75 for 5 years straight...man some of the guys would be pissed and try to say is that all ya got..my reply was no, but it's all I need*L*

I don't have my 03 Cobra yet, but my 1971 Camaro runs 11.0's in Pueblo Colorado at 5000 ft. When I get the Cobra I'm shooting for the same territory but it will be a daily driver and run on pump gas!

About 10 miles north of Denver, right between Thornton and Westminster.

Hey Sean all in all how do you like your Cobra? How many miles do you have on it? Have you replaced the clutch yet?

After I get my Cobra we need to get together.

Thanks

I don't think Sean has a cobra, but rather zla is planning on getting one.....

Also.....who gives a s**t what a hampster has? It ain't that peppy...small motor, OK power.....and all in the extreme high RPM's. Not much fun in my book, but everyone has their own opinion.

I'd rather have a small block (better yet, a Big Block) any day. Lots of low end power and not even close to a slug in the high RPM's.
