Ok well as far as im concerned the inside of my car adds to apperance. But anyway, I just got my DDX8017 Kenwood screen in today and it looks hella-nice. I got it on ebay for 700 refurbushed from manufacturer. But I also ordered a console and radio bezel from a 2002 and 2003 new edge to spiffy up my interior as well. Well I got my console in today and its "Mid-Black" (the thing said black and the pictures looked black) well. IMO midblack is grey and not close to my black interior so now im soolajwf T_T (george carlin in abbreviated form :p) Does anyone now if i could take the console and have it stained or maybe thin coats of wiped paint w/ a rag would help? any help would be appreciated

you can use duplicolor interior paint - the dyes do not / will NOT last... you will also need to clean the part with a heavy duty degreaser

yea. dont waste your time with aftermarket trim pieces.
no, worries, sounds like an easy fix...

wash, sand, laquere* thinner, degreaser/adhesion promoter, coats of paint, clear(optional, i didnt), let 'em dry!

saves alot of money, fun and simple to do!

here some shots of mine, and prep for trunk struts and air vents...

will the paint mach to the interior of the car tho especially after putting it over charcoal grey... Im just worriede about looking at my radio to notice i have two off colored parts clashing and f'n up my interior
ON the other hand, Maybe i should take the opportunity to retro the inside of my car with my red gauges and red accents im getting on the paint job i could color coat my bezels and console gloss black with red accents and get the dash cover with/wo pods in gloss black too?
