My most embarassing loss...was an old school Civic hatchback, it had black steel wheels, reflective window tint and a giant fart can.

But what I didn't know, he had a B18 swap or whatever it is, with a giant turbo running over 14psi boost. I was in my Iroc-z, although it ran low 14's and I had some amazing 60 foot times with radials with a 312, after 50mph he blew by me like I was standing still

Friend of mine at work had challenged me to a race. he had an automaitc I have a manual.  I knew I would win.  I got caught up in how I would rub it in his face when I won that I popped the clutch early and stalled out before Go.  I was headed home before he even knew I was out of the race.  God I felt like a jackass!!  D'oH!!!!!

Mine would have to be the 1952 Volvo that beat my by atleast 15 cars at the track.  Gosh, who'da thought that an old ass volvo would smoke me?  I have a mustang GT for cryin out loud:P  I mean sure, he was runnin meth and nitro =2600hp.  But come on, its a family car :P  he ran a 7.80....So embarassed.  Not to mention I think I was rev limiting because I couldnt hear my rpms when he too off.

When all I had was my accord v6, I took a few friends down to dc, to hopefully watch some races, not to participate. The scene was busted, and on the highway, on the way home, I saw a tiburon with a crazy paint job. My 3 friends told me to line up with him, cuz I should be able to take him. I got next to him, and floored it, and he used the bottle, and flew past me doing 120+mph.

when I first started racing my car in the 1/8 mile (when I ran 10.1s...) I raced a bolt-on Neon with a 45shot... Even though I told him to spray so there would be no excuses, I still felt bad losing to a Neon (this was before the SRT was even in concept form).

about six months ago me and my friends are out at gulfport.  my boy had just busted a prelude by like 2 cars in his 95 gt. now i have beaten him more times than i can count, but the prelude drivers friend came by said nice race and the asked my boy to him.. it was a 96 or 97 civic.. just black... black paint  black wheels. not riced out.. i ended up lining up with the guy.  well i pulled hard on him untill half track, then i was looking at taillights..  i turned in a 14.12 i think and i think he ended up running a 13.33.. yep  got smoked... by a civic..turned out to be turboed and had a little shot... humility  gotta love it... thats why the 150 shot is going in

Lets see.. I was talkin trash to one of my bud's in line because he was lined next to me at the track. I told him I was gonna holeshot him and whup on his sorry Galaxie. Its a 64 Gal with a healthy 460 in it, Its lightened and a track only car. We run wihtin .02 of eachother. Well I staged and he staged, I saw the middle amber and left. I cut me a good ole .452 redlight. yeah I was kinda feelin it then.  The next weekend he lined up with me and i talked trash again, and this time he lit the red bulb...  I didnt feel so bad..

Before that, I got spanked in my 67 Cougar by a POS 72 buick Skylark 350 2v.

Stupidest race? Got two. One ran 115 mph wihtout brakes, knew they were gone but ran anyway. Second was driving a Vega my dad owned a while back. Had a 4 spd in it. Ran an automatic Vega. Got spanked and embarrased and it was the longest 1/4 mile of my life. I think we hit like 50 mph.... What a waste of time... hated that car.

Your G/F isnt fat is she???  Im just jokin'

I think my most embarrassing was when I lined up next to a 4 banger accord that had a fart can and an ugly ass wing.  We took the light and I had it until 2nd gear when the mother f'er wouldnt go into second.  it was over by then because I let off and coasted to the finish.

To this day I still dont know what it is that makes some mustangs grind a little or not go into 2nd when speed shifting.  My buddies 87 did the same before he put in a tremec.  Help me out fellas

Had to be against a lightning. I was starting the race because I knew I would win, what I didnt know was my bottle was empty. Started reeling him in at about 110 but it was too late. Felt like a horses butt for starting something I couldnt finish.

My most embarrasing loss was to a 1990 Mustang GT.  I was in my 92 GT just coasting though maryland.  He pulled up next to me and I dropped it to second.  He did the same and blew me away like nothing I'd ever seen before.  I shouldn't say that was embarrasing:  it was a mustang, and it had to have been all hyped up on steroids.   I guess the bad part about the whole thing is that my MX-6 crazed friend was in the car next to me.  I don't think I'll ever hear the end of that one.

Most embarrassing loss eh? Well this happened a while back when I still swore by Camaro's. It was I think 1990...not sure. A buddy of mine had this big block 79 firebird he thought was pretty fast. I had a 86 Iroc with a tpi 350 out of a 89 with nitrous. We would always hassle each other about which was faster. We hung out in this parking lot in the small town we lived in and a bunch of people hung out up there. So when we decided to go race we had probably 40 people follow us out to Tobacco rd. to watch.

Well he did his burn out and staged. Mind you this is in the middle of some horse farms and you wouldn't see another car for hours. I did my burn out and ended up going past where he had staged. So i back up and line up with him. I hold the brake around 2000rpm, arm the nitrous, and wait for Shelly to drop her hand. When she did, I let off the brake, floor it and hit the button. I launced that car.......in reverse. Ended up shattering my ring gear.
