Is it possible to safely push a stock 2007 V6 5-speed to at least ~250 rwhp, with easy to install/uninstall mods for under $1,000, and how?

You get 250 HP you're gonna want to spend a little on suspension not to mention tires.

As has been said, with some nitrous, even a small shot, and basic bolt-ons you should be at or over 250 rwhp. But you're looking at more then 1k for that setup, plus i wouldn't feel good using it with stock suspension/ tires. If you mean can you get to 250 rwhp just through bolt-ons, staying n/a, no nitrous, no supercharger etc.? Short answer, not currently.

Well you probably can, but it will cost you way more than a grand!

Okay!
I'm looking to get 250hprw. Just with mods and bolt-on's, but I'm going about it from a different direction.

First of all, I don't need all that power in one shot, so I'm doing this slowly because of the money and I think that it's not good to throw alot of power on the car at once.

Below shows what I have done so far

What I have plan for my stang is to beef up my weak 7.5 rear end.

1) I will be doing a TA girdle & stronger 28 Spline to complete the rear end, because I've done the gears, t-lok and driveshaft already.

2) I will be doing the torque converter and that should take care of the tranny.

4) After that, the powerplant will need some bolt-on's like, Underdrive pulley, Jet Hot Headers, Free-flow cats & Y-H or X hookup w/mufflers.

5) By that time it should be a stroker kit out there for my stanger: Cam, lifters, pistons, crankshaft, plugs & cables.

At that point I should be running 250hprw or better.

The car will be stronger and ready for a s/c or turbo/c system.

400hprw & 431torque is the new goal at that point.

ps: NOS don't live here!

With the mods I've done so far I need 56 more horsepower to make my first goal of 250hprw

Pretty sure you can't shove a clutch and a flywheel (not available) into an automatic transmission...

Hey!
DelStang
So are u saying that my car don't have these items in the AT?
Or u are saying that they don't make these parts for my car yet?

R u saying if I put LT header on my car, it will not pass inspection, because I can't use cats with LT headers? Is that right?

If so, than thanks for clearing that up for me.

Denny

Go 75-100hp shot of NO2 and look at a true duals system like the JBA one. That should get you there.

He's better off just putting a single axleback on if he's on a budget, true duals only show a 2-3 hp gain and cost 250-300$ more.

As you guessed, with LT headers you won't have cats and thus won't pass inspection, in states that have car inspection. + 1 for Florida :)

This.....with a 75 shot
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ZEX-2005-2007-Mustang-V6-V8-GT-WET-Nitrous-Kit-82034_W0QQitemZ140058883797QQihZ004QQcategoryZ33740QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

And this......
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ZEX-Nitrous-Racers-Tuning-Kit-Purge-Heater-Gauge-82001_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33740QQihZ004QQitemZ140039269981QQtcZphoto

....should get you there safely. Now you'll need a t-lok to get both wheels spinning. That'll bring you up to 1k but then you need to pay for the t-lok install. ~$300.

~$1300 plus you'll need to fill the bottle every so often.

That may not be entirely true Mac currently is offering a long tube header and a V-6 Pro tube setup w/cats but it lists for about $850.00. And JBA offers a LT H-pipe w/cats for the GT But I really don't have a clue if or not this will swap without modifcatiopn for the V-6 LT headers.

go to rpmoutlet.com. you will see at the side of the page a certain link to 05+ mustang V6. at the very bottom of that new page there is a power pack. includes: JBA headers, choice of intake and tuner, throttle body, pulley system, and JBA performance plug wire set. for maybe a little more 1K after taxes and shipping. but a barain for what you are getting. i am thinking about the same thing.
