RE: whats the best year 5.0 to use as a project car?
anything that was made 89 and up but not 93. the 89 and up's had maf, and the 93 had hyper something pistons not forged. so find an 89-92. also a notch because they are lighter and stiffer.

As far as lightness goes the coupe/notchback gots to be the lightest body in 5.0's. About whats the best project car as a project well that all on personal taste. Persoanlly my favorite model is the 93 Cobra car/body kit and as far as what would I use as a project I would go with a notchback for lightness and it looks very nice with just some rims and a cowl hood.

cant remember what year but the 89-92????notch without the airbag.
89 dosen't have airbag. 87-88 has speed density, 87-93 has maf. 87-89 no airbag, 90-93 has airbag.
