I don't know about front impact specs and hopefully I will never have to find out. I do know from experience that they will take a sh!tkicking from the side and still keep on ticking. Mine was hit by a small truck about a month ago right in the middle of the passenger door (looked just like the side impact tests LOL). Obviously, it needed a boatload of bodywork, but she was still perfectly square and the door didn't come TOO far into the car and stayed latched....if there was a passenger, they prolly would have lived. Better than many wrecks I have seen.

I had a front end crash about a month with a 2001 Mustang and it protected my son ( 12 ) and I. The car was totalled and all I had was a broken thumb. Bumper/frame and hood took the brunt of it. Both fenders were still straight. The seat belts and aribag did exactly what is was designed to do. Saved lives. I have a 2005 on order.
