Hey all,

I've got the XM radio Audiovox Xpress receiver, and was trying to figure a way to mount it to where it would look decently nice. They have little cupholder inserts, and things that can fall down from your windshield and stick up from your dash and such, but they're just.. not looking good. Here is what I have on my system so far.

XM Receiver: Audiovox Xpress: http://www.xmradio.com/images/existing/shop/ShopRefresh/plugandplay/xpress/xpress_3_lg.jpg

Car Kit: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/images/largeimages/428312.jpg

Head Unit: Sony CDXGT210: http://www.sourceoneaudio.com/ProductImages/.newpics/sony/CDXGT210.jpg

Dash: '00 Mustang with bottom DIN (once used for factory CD slave unit) removed and pocket installed: http://www.installer.com/item/display_item.php?it=98-5999

I also a standard 'stang with a cigarette lighter directly infront of the shifter, and another facing towards the dash out of the center console between the seats.

Okay, so I started first by wiring the antenna up near the rear-view mirror, and down the sides of the door through the dash and whatnot, and it looks okay, but I've got enough antenna cord to put it wherever I want and keep it concealed and still receptive. As you can see, my HU has a an aux jack in the front, and the kit that I have for this receiver has a little aux cable that you can just stab into it and into the bottom of the receiver, then a power you hook into the cigarette lighter. The only thing I dislike about this is that there are now wires all over the frickin' dash. I was thinking originally about storing it into the pocket and just putting up with the wires (since I don't change channels that much), but the receiver barely won't fit into it, and if I put the thing into the glovebox, the chords would be glaringly obvious because it's just so hard to conceal that aux and power cables. Can anyone think of another way to rig this? First look at the HU, I didn't think there was any way to wire it through the back, and I don't want to spend alot of money on this. Thanks in advance!

I thought about it, but I'm just not a 'wire guy' at all. Looks messy to me. Everything I have on my desktop is completely wireless as it is. =P

Anyone ever used something like this? http://cgi.ebay.com/Floor-Car-Mount-for-XM-Audiovox-Xpress-XCS9_W0QQitemZ230057223838QQcmdZViewItem
