I have tried seemingly a dozen different products on my convertible vinyl top, all with mixed results. I will type up my detailed review of the products I have used very shortly, but I wanted to get everyone's juices working first. I think we'd all be very interested to hear about products and techniques you have used to clean, protect, and shine your vinyl top.
Let the games begin !!!

I just try to keep mine clean by light scrubbing with the brush at the coin wash then rinse clean, but would REALLY like to know what a good effective long-term cleaner/protector would be best to use on it. I DON'T wanna have to buy a new top anytime soon Mine gets extra severe use because I live in the snowbelt & drive my car all year.
It's funny to realise my top is indeed vinyl(?) It sure looks & feels more like canvas but, apparently only Cobras have canvas & all GT's tops are vinyl eh?
ArmourAll has been pretty officially declared BAD for vert tops. Looks great right away but, over the long run it will cause the top to be brittle/stiff & look like crap.
Someone mentioned Mcguires makes something good for vinyl tops?
I used the kit which has both the vinyl cleaner and protectant (1 bottle of each). The cleaner made a noticable difference - cleaned some stubborn spots that normal carwashing didn't. The protectant gave a nice sheen without being glossy. Seems to stand up well to use & normal washing.

Looking forward to all kinds of input. I have not messed with my top yet. Fact is, I have not driven the Stang in the rain and it's garaged when I am done driving.....but regardless. I'll abosrb all the knowledge from my fellow Vert owners.

I've got the camel coloured top and found that stubborn marks come out easily with Mr.Clean Magic Eraser (basically it's a sponge you add water to and rub it on the mark). I might do the whole top once in a while just to keep it looking really clean.
Are the fox bodies canvas or vinyl. I have a 93 Convertible. Black. I just want to make the top look clean and more blacker, instead of dull and lifeless.
I spray some of the Turtle Tire Shine on it lol I don't go crazy, and I wish it was a little less glossy, but it looks pretty dam good.. spray a little and spread it around/rub it in with a terry cloth. ANy objections to this?
