OK, well I guess this will be the first tech/detailing post so here goes. Anybody have any success with getting mold off their top. I have a white top and I was thinking of using a deluted bleach solution. Something like 10 parts water and one bleach. Anyone know if this is going to had neg side effects???

Folks, just be careful when you use bleach. That stuff can slowly eat away the canvas if you are not careful. The mold will come back if you keep the top damp. Keep that puppy as dry as you can and let it air out. It will suck if it has to stay out doors a lot.

I have a black top, but I recommend a product that will work wonderfuly. If you can find it, I bought it from a guy selling door to door. "Green Apple Advantage, the wonder cleaner". Mixed 4 to 1 with water, it will remove anything from anything with a soft bristle brush. All natural too, you may be able to google it.

I have a white top on my 88 GT vert. When I first got it there was a ton of mildew on it. I bought some Wesleys Bleche-White for tires. Sprayed it on liberally and then scrubbed it with a stiff bristled scrub brush, then rinsed w/ high pressure. After doing this twice, it came out great. My paint is white so didn't really worry bout that, but may be a consideration with other colors, but I think it would be fine if spray off immediately.

thanks guys. I am sure one of those solutions will work. I have some of the wesleys so I am going to try that right now, but if I see some of that apple stuff I might try it.
