Mustang Cobra fast but not Fas

3 days ago i bought a used 1994 Mustang Cobra 5.0 with 63kmiles on it

Its basically stock except for flowmasters and K&N air filter...I took it to a local Race Track (as I was curious about the time it would post) and I wasnt dissapoint it as it post a 13.9 with street tires...After getting the E.T out of the way... I decided to race my friend who has a 1999 Trans Am (stock and automatic) on a straigth away street... So i revved to about 3000 RPM and on the 3rd honk we took off...I got up front first as he was still trying to get traction...but all of the sudden he caugth up to me and passed me by like a little more than half a car...Thats when i got dissapoint it...and I learned a leason (If you got a stock Mustang Dont bother to race an F-Body) But all that is about to change as I plan to install 373s and a 150nitrous shot.. I expect to at least run mid 12's...As the new saying goes (Modified Mustang equals F-Body Dust) lol

Why were you dissapointed? 13.9 is about all you can expect from a 94 Cobra. I would guess you didn't do any research before you purchased it?

3.73's and a 150 shot will definetly help, but bolt-on modded LS1's will still be running away from ya <IMG src=smileys/smiley11.gif border="0">

DAN02GT..i was not dissapointed on the car..i was expecting to run low 14's and I got high 13's..so dissapoined NO....what Imeant by dissapointed was that I lost to a Stock (Automatic) TransAm....i dont really like losing to an F-Body..so i got somewhat dissapointed...But hey all that is about to change
