Default Questions on 91 LX Fox Body Audio

Well, I'm looking to put money into a system in my car, but I don't know if I should get subs in the trunk, or just get better speakers. The trunk space is extremely small, and I don't know what I can fit. I know what HU I want, just I don't know if I should get the subs, or speakers. Opinions appreciated

Default RE: Questions on 91 LX Fox Body Audio

Get replacement speakers, you're not seriously going to use the stock speakers with subs right ? Use component speakers in the doors and put the tweeters in the dash speaker locations. You might be able to squeeze 6 1/2's in the doors instead of the usual 5 1/4's, depends on the mounting depth. I'm not sure what you've got in the back, but look at the Crutchfield website for speakers that will fit into your car's stock locations. Get a good 4-channel amp to drive front and back speakers. If you choose good components and install them right, you have kickass sound. After your done, THEN decide if you would like to add subs. Good Luck !
