they are plastic neon, not glass. they don't weigh that much. they are simple to install but not easy. you should not be able to see the tubes, if you can, that is rice. and rice sucks

I don't think it's stupid to have underbody lights. I have them everywhere on my 88 stang and I get alot of compliments on it. I have 4 underbody lights under the car-1 on front,1 on back, 1 on left, 1 on right. I also have a light in the front under the hood that zig zags back and forth. Inside I have neon blue brake and gas pedals,neon blue floormats that light up and rear speaker lights. I never drive with them on--just for show only. So personally I think they look very good!!!

like matthockey32 said they are not that heavy and easy to install. But each to their own
