hey.. way to have no clue about tire sizes... good job spreading bad info.

Your stock tire size has a 25.6" overall diameter. anything larger or smaller will throw off your speedometer.

I recommend to EVERY fox owner that wants to run 17x9 wheels on their cars to go with a 245/45/17 in front and a 275/40/17 in the rear

and 01GTType.. 245/40/17 is 24.7" ... which is almost a full inch smaller than stock. Good Job!

275/35/17 is again... about 1" shorter than a 275/40/17 which retains stock height of 25.6"

Ok yeah that was my bad.. He didn't say what year car he had and I didn't look at his screen name.. I was talking about the newer mustangs, so technically it was both our faults.. I see what your saying 245/45/17's are stock not 245/40/17's.

So 91LXMustang I appologize...

overall tire diameter didnt change from 79-04....

i used to sell wheel and tire packages... i know more than you think.... if your running 275/35/17's, your runing too small a tire

now 275/35/18 is a COMPLETELY different stort
because you are once again close to the stock 25.6"

What I'm saying on a 91 Mustang don't you think a 17x9 with a 275 on it might be more likely to rub on than a 95-04 Mustang?

I'm going to check that out tomorrow I have a friend with a 90 CHP stang so I will check the fender well circumference tomorrow and compare it to mine.. It will give me something to do after work.. I figure if he has a five lug conversion I can throw one of my rims on and see if it has clearance...

Peace out

the 90-93 fit the 17x9 easier than the 89 and down... the fenders were given a little more clearance

i'm planning on buying some 17's for my 89. will the 275/40 fit in back without removing the quads? also, is the 245/45 the same overall diameter as the 275/40?

you might not have to remove the quad shock, but you will probably have to flip it
