is it a stupid idea to put a saleen kit like the rims and everything on a 03' cobra? i've seen a guy do it and it looked pretty sick but is that original or do you guys see that everywhere? basically im going to be buying a car in the next month or so and i'm not sure if i should just break down a get a saleen or a 03 cobra and do what i want to it, i plan on spending about 25-30k or so, -justin.

Well if you are just now buying the car then I would go for the cobra and put a saleen body kit on it. You will not have the same HP in a saleen that you would have in a cobra which is 390 (unless you bought the S281 E $62,000, 445 HP). I would just go for the cobra.

yea thats what im leanin towards, i thought it was a stupid idea at first but in the end they're all mustangs and i think it'd look pretty sick plus i'd have a fast car. it's not really a dumb idea it won't be a real saleen but it would be just like any other saleen if that makes any sense, but it'd be better performance wise but not collectorwise, -justin.

03 Cobra performance + Saleen looks = King of the Street.

If you can afford it, do it. You will NOT be dissapointed.

I'm actually not sure what I'd do, Saleen did make some Saleen Cobra's every year, so I would just leave the Cobra badges on.

I would definately leave the Cobra badges on. Like the man said above, Cobra + Saleen kit is king. Saleen badges just make it a clone. You could send it to Saleen and have them make it a Saleen Cobra, but a Cobra is sweet enough as it is and I would hate to hear how much that would cost.

actually i've been looking a LOT at prices lately, i figure by the time i go to buy this which is december possibly november, who knows maybe next month i should be able to find a cobra around 15k miles for about 25-27k, as a matter of fact i have found 2 and one had like 3k miles and it was 27k which is a GREAT deal. with the other 3k or whatever i can add good suspension, a saleen kit, and the chrome saleen rims with a good tint. i'd like to get white or anything if the price is right really, and a coupe. i've noticed convertible cobras go for like 2k more which is kinda funny but good for me.
