I have seen A LOT of dynos and I can assure you that those are very lucky base line numbers. Maybe 5% of all the stock dynos come up with numbers that high. Most that i see run around 170-180rwhp
2. what little style mods u got? (chrome handles, grille inserts, etc.) Painted Shelby Racing stripes Legend Spoiler Raceline GT wheels
and now...for the main event!!!
3. what mods u got and whats ur hp and tq at the wheels!!!!
Inter-cooled Vortech V-2 Supercharger. (working with Doug at Bamachips to refine the tune) So far unable to find a Dyno in my area to get the rear wheel numbers I am guessing now about 300+ at the rear wheels.
I'm from Columbus, OH and have a Sonic Blue '05 Premium. As far as visual mods I have wireless neon lights with interior neon string. Also have the matching plate frames (front and back). Some engine dressup and a carbon fiber third brake light overlay. I am currently building an indash unit for it right now that will be a 7" Touchscreen with a full working computer. The only performance modification I have is the MRT Aero-Turbine Exhaust.
1. Originally born and raised in Pittsburgh PA. Now live in Sterling VA, right outside of DC where I work. I have a 2005 Black Mustang 4.0 Premium
2. Here is my list of appearance modifications:
* Dual 10" Dark Red Stripes w/1" Pin Stripes * Tri-Bar Running Pony Emblems * 4.0 Deck lid Emblem * 17x9 Black Bullitt Wheels w/chrome lip * Legend Spoiler * Street Scene Center Fog Light Grille * Race Stickers (for track events, got to be good for another 10HP!!!!!) * UPR knobs, locks, etc.
3. Car has been through several stages, 4 different exhaust configurations, 3 power adder configurations and now has a custom built block by PH (numbers pending). Here is the modification list...
* Powerhouse Pipeline Turbo @ 10.38lbs (Note: 12 second runs were on 8.5lbs of boost!) * Powerhouse Lower Control Arms * Powerhouse Upper Control Arm * Powerhouse Drive Shaft * Powerhouse/CHE Drive Shaft Loop * Powerhouse/CHE Panhard Bar w/Poly/Poly * Powerhouse/CHE Panhard Brace * Powerhouse K Member Brace * Dual Flowmaster American Thunder Mufflers * SCT XCAL2 * AEM Wideband w/output to XCAL2 & Laptop * Autometer Boos Gauge * PHP Alternator Pulley * Ford Racing 3.73 Gears * Ford Racing TLOK * LPW Girdle (stronger than the TA piece) * Reflashed Stock Converter (percision is working on mine, have some fitment issues with the V6, should have it by Nov. 2006) * M&H Drag Radials (for track) * Nitto Extreme 450's 255/50/17 up front & 275/50/17 rear (for street)
Performance Data:
Nitrous: 278RWHP/362RWTQ (on a dynojet) - 13.6@99MPH
Turbo (8.5lbs): 299RWHP/347RWTQ (on a mustang dyno) - 12.8@107MPH
Turbo (10.3lbs) 320RWHP/371RWTQ (on a mustang dyno) - 12.4@109MPH
Turbo (15 or 16lbs): Results pending
Next round of modifications are as follows.....
* Built block (probably close to a 4.1L actually) * Wiseco Forged Pistons, 8-8-1 * 15 to 16lbs of boost * 8.8 rear end * 3.73 gears * Possible: 60lb injectors (will know if this is needed after the dyno time today) * Boost a pump * 93 octane tune * CAM2 114 octane tune
Then, in January, precision should be done with my overdue stall....so I will take the car up and have this done...
Now, after posting ALL of this, I'm expecting "why didn't you just get a GT?". Save it!!! I love all mustangs, and I wanted to see what the limits of the 4.0 are and what it takes to get it there. Short and simple.
Cheers.
